Good location, good service at the bar
The room amenities are not up to par with a Hilton hotel. There is no bottled water, no minibar (just empty), no slippers, the bathroom shower gels smell bad, the shower is so slippery that it is a risk of accidents.

The view from our room was beautiful. The room and the bathroom were spacious and looked brand new, possibly redone not long ago. Comfy bed, good location and professional staff. Unlike other comments, street noise was not significant at night. Also, they are adding a new extension to the building which seems like to have standards.
The walls between rooms, possibly floors too, had poor sound isolation. You could hear other people talking, but was luckily quiet through the night. Also, the shower floor was a little slippery as other comments mentioned.

Location is great, pretty central. The fact that has a hospital nearby can be quite annoying since you ear a lot of emergency vehicles. Free water dispenser is also nice.
Had to call reception at 12am for a another guest that had is TV to loud and they did nothing. Went downstairs to address the topic and nothing. So until 1am no sleep.
Breakfast station was very poor compared with other DTbH properties. Low on options and the flow does not work at all. Bread station is in a corner meaning that can only take one person at the time, which is ridiculous when you have a full hotel. Orange juice is not natural and limited options for cheese, ham, no salmon. All of this for 30 euros per person. Not worth the money.

We were in what felt like a very recently refurbished part of the hotel, which was very nicely done. The public areas of the hotel were also well maintained. We were in an accessible room for a wheelchair user and there was was plenty of space for manoeuvering around. The refillable water bottles and tap in the hallway is an excellent idea.
The bathroom was quite well designed for accessibility.
We had to move a very heavy sofa in order for the accessible wardrobe function to work properly.
The bathroom had no shelves to store toiletries. It also had a movement activated light but it was so bright it was blinding in the middle of the night. I'm surprised that the Hilton chain doesn't have a specialist accessibility department who sense check accessible rooms

It's great that the sauna and gym are available 24/7. The room was very clean and very well-equipped. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. This was our first stay at Double Tree by Hilton and we will definitely be back.
