I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, the facilities, the good quality breakfast and the convenient location just walking distance from Gare Central.
I would expect towels with no stamps on them, and less noise in the corridors from the cleaners especially around 2pm as some travellers would like to enjoy a quiet siesta.

All the no questions refund. When we left on arrival. We could stay here.
We left as it wasn’t at all as expected.
Dark hallways and dark lobby filled with on-going maintenance.

The hotel has an amazing hall where you can relax, read, drink a hot drink and enjoy the passers by.
Everything was really good apart from the bucket in the sauna that was leaking and the slippers provided in the room are not suitable for the sauna.

We liked the friendly staff. We enjoyed the complimentary hot drinks, and my kids specially enjoyed the hot chocolate. The pool and sauna were amazing.
We had the suite. Appreciated that it has 2 bathroom but the powder room didn’t have a sink to wash your hand, we had to walk up the stairs to wash our hands. The shower leaked a lot of water out of the shower glass.

Staff were friendly and helpful. the reception areas are comfortable and well lit. Our bedroom was clean and bright and quite spartan, but OK at this price level. Management were responsive to my complaint - see below.
While the location is convenient for that area of central Brussels, it is in what feels a low rent street with a large dilapidated empty property opposite and a clearance site adjacent, and is (rather nervously) approached from the central train station direction through an abandoned looking shopping arcade. The hotel were undertaking building renovation works on the floor above, with hammering and banging all day long, although it stopped in the evening. The second night we experienced a lot of noise from other guests in the corridor outside, and in the adjoining room, till 5.00 am, which did not improve our experience at all, We complained the next day to the receptionist and it is fair to say that the complaint was responded to immediately by management and a 10% discount offered in recompense. A warning that building works were being done would have been helpful, and some oversight of the hotel corridors would have improved peacefulness and security.

Very Poor
At night, the room was extremely bright because of the strong street lighting outside, making it very difficult to sleep. The toilet was not working properly and made loud water-filling noises every two minutes. You could hear every single sound from the corridor, so resting was impossible. On top of that, the reception area smelled strongly like a swimming pool, which was very unpleasant.
