The 9Hotel is located in the centre of Brussels. It is comfortably and interestingly furnished and has a friendly atmosphere. We appreciated the welcoming Lobby, decorated in a homely manner, and with a choice of hot and cold drinks. The room was big anough for 3 persons, with a big mirror, and a nice view through the large window and balcony. The breakfast was delicious and with a good selection, especially the waffles and scrambled eggs were tasty. The staff was nice and helpful.
The glass screen on the bathtub is too long and makes it harder to enter.

The reception staff were helpful and friendly. They are a valuable asset to the hotel. I also l enjoyed being near the Cathedral of St Michael. If you are a walker, it makes it easier to find your way back to the hotel.
There were areas that are quite dingy, actually dirty. At one point, the elevator door opened and I thought I had ended up in the basement. The room was very clean though.

(1) The room is really nicely furnished (industrial feel, exposed bricks on 1 wall, books available), matching pictures. I loved the way it looked. (2) Location.
(1) My room was the only room on level -1. It was next to the kitchen & utility rooms and in the evening until about 9 pm the noise was bad unless you would close the door to a little corridor inside the apartment. (2) The smell from the sewage / bathroom was unbearable. The solution was to shut the door. (3) The room being at level -1, I did not have a proper window -all I could see was part of people's legs.
