The location is fantastic, and the bed was super comfy. Good quality breakfast.
The breakfast room was a bit cramped. No hanging hooks for the towels in the bathroom.

No hot water in our shower night of our stay. We were told the staff would alert us when there was hot water (they did not). Ended up with hot water morning of our stay but had to sleep with no shower after day of travel.

Wonderful
Host/hotel manager is extremely welcoming and kind. Would stay again based on the hospitality alone, but the location and reasonable price were also major advantages. Also appreciated the access to the coffee machine throughout the day and back garden space.
No elevator (not a problem for us but can be important for some visitors to be aware)

We did not know there was no elevator and we had to go up three flights of narrow steps. It was hard on us with our luggage. There was no valet service to carry our bags. It would be nice to add this service so older folks like us will not have to go up and down steep steps with our luggage. If we had known this, we would not have booked a room with this hotel. Otherwise, the breakfast selections including gluten free options is wonderful, delicious and lovely. We were exhausted as this was the last leg of our 8 days trip, we were granted an hour extension to vacating our room which is most appreciated.
The steep steps and third floor walk-up for older folks like us. Would be nice to have a short information about the history of this hotel building. It has such a beautiful architecture typical of a Flemish building.

Staff was very kind
They have a energy save system that makes anything turns off about every 2 min, was horrible because you can’t take even a shower and the lights (the room was dark and needed light) turned of, the water got cold.

It presented well as a heritage building. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast that was included with our stay was excellent. Nice courtyard in the back. Our room faced the street and had a good view. Hard working efficient staff.

Loved the quaintness of the hotel and the location worked perfectly. We only met one lady working there, and she was very friendly and accommodating.
Beware of the stairs, especially if you’re in one of the cozy rooms on the top floor.
We despised the “bath,” as there was no shower. When you stood in the tub, you hit your head.

No elevator so carrying suitcases up a few flights can be a chore upon arrival and departure.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to all the major landmarks.
Hauling the luggage to the third floor was challenging as the hotel does not have an elevator, but for a building constructed in 1661 it is understandable.

Conveniently and beautifully located, great breakfast, quiet at night, cozy, very clean.
Mattress was too soft for me personally and stiff stairs might be a problem for people traveling with larger luggage.

I booked a hotel for one night, and it was a great experience. The location is wonderful in a historical place, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and nice. The next day we went down for breakfast, and it was also perfect. Small cozy room served with everything needed.
