Breakfast was great. Staff and welcome were excellent. Room and bed were comfy. Parking was really appreciated. Location is fantastic.
There was a smell of drains outside our room. It was there every time we came in or out.

Location was ok, right adjacent to city center although it doesn't do justice to the booking description that it is located IN city center. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Service was indifferent. Staff was not unfriendly but not particularly hospitable. Reception closed at a reasonable check out time for instance. Staff 'forgot' to clean room and had to go after basics like fresh towels and toilet paper myself.

Very nice historic building well maintained, friendly staff, comfy beds and a good shower (note our room you had to step over a high edge to the bath to get to it if you have mobility issues, safe parking.
Mostly though its the location, you could walk to the centre in a couple of minutes. Thoroughly recommended.
The instructions to find the place are not great, sat nav gets you there but the name of the hotel is not easily visible and as the road is busy you miss the hotel. We ended up doing 3 loops around town before we finally got in. As the name isn't easily visible the instructions should be updated to say "our hotel is behind the large black metal gates", they are very visible
The other thing is entrance in to the parking, the parking isn't open by default (which is good for security) and you need to go in to the hotel to get them to come out and open it. In that time your only options are parking and blocking a busy road or blocking a cycle path while you wait to get in, so just be careful with that. It was a little stressful

What a lovely hotel. Very close to everything you want to see. We had a very nice room with a very comfortable bed and pillows. There is a great shower with great bath shampoo and conditioner. There is also a wonderful body cream. I would definitely stay here again if I returned here.
