Wonderful
It was Cosy, Comfortable and Clean the 3 C"s. Definitely an affordable place in a porch area, where you have access to popular beaches, restaurants and more. It's location is ideal an affordable. The managers of the place are professional, warm and friendly.
Recently they did renovation and improvements are being made.

They were good and understandable to me.
They things that I did not like were things that any human can do. My English was not perfect, I think it was one of the cause but even that, I was understood.

Fantastic location
It’s a very basic but clean place. I liked it; my only request would be a bit more storage. A couple of shelves on the wall to put your bits and pieces would make all the difference.

The location is excellent. Paula is a very helpful host and anything which was wrong was rectified quickly and efficiently, ie our TV didn't work and we needed a lock put on the bathroom door.
The whole place needs updating. Our shower wasn't brilliant and the bathroom sink leaked on the floor. The worrying aspect was the huge step down from the bedroom to the bathroom which was dangerous and we had to be careful when entering the bathroom, especially at night. Also no-one was asked at check-in to close their room doors quietly. They were just slammed. The doors should be made to shut quietly. But for the price, we really didn't mind as it was exactly as we expected.

Excellent location. Everything right on your door step. Dennis was always helpful and resolved any issue quickly. My bed was comfortable so i got a good sleep too
My only complaint would be that there are no bath mats in the shower rooms so the floor is very slippery when you step out of the shower which is a danger hazard, i nearly slipped a few times, and the toilet needs to be re-installed as it leaks a lot from the base of the pan so i assume it is not fitted properly

I had a fabulous time at Rio Guesthouse and was made to feel very welcome. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and the guesthouse is perfect location for easy walking distance to all the major attractions/restaurants/beaches etc in St. Lawrence's Gap/Oistin's. The nearest bus stop at Top Rock is about 5 min walk away too. I had originally booked a twin room (it was the only room available at time of booking) but was provided with a lovely upgraded single room instead which I preferred. Everything was clean and exceeded my expectations. I immensely appreciated that the owner allowed me to store my luggage/ check out 1-2 hrs later while I was waiting for the bus to the airport and she was also very helpful with local recommendations and useful information. I've highly recommended Rio to my friends & family, I would happily stay here again and hope to do so in the future soon. Thanks to Paula & Dennis & everyone working at Rio Guesthouse for a great stay.

As a single person it was in the right spot for me close to quite little beaches quite bars or as busy and noisy as you want I experienced both and location is ideal and quick walker would be at major bus routes or taxi mini buses in under 10 minutes.Perfect.
The thought of shearing some facilities with a couple of other guests was a concern,but unfounded,as in 21 nights, I never really found out who they were as you all use facilities at different times,you might bump into someone while making morning coffee but that's about it .

Great location. Clean. Facilities kind of run down but comfortable bed, great air conditioning and good shower. Would have liked a fridge in my room but otherwise had everything I needed.
No fridge in room but had access to fridge in common kitchen. No problem with noise from outside but walls were very thin. Could hear everything from nextdoor room.

1. Rio Guess house Exceeded my expectations for the price offered. 2. Good WIFI . 3. Good water pressure Hot and Cold. 4. Good working AC supply. 5. Use of the general Kitchen area to make breakfast. 6. The Hosts Paula and Dennis were excellent administrators.
