The Rockley has been reimagined as an experiential, urban hotel bursting with personality that seeks to connect our guests as intimately as we can with the community around us and to showcase and celebrate all that makes Barbados and this part of the island so special – it’s people, food, art, music and culture; not forgetting the amazing beach that is located directly across from the hotel. The hotel interiors include a collection of local art, iconic Bajan items like the Bus Stop Sign, playful Bajan sayings and thoughtful locally crafted amenities, all designed to give the Rockley a real sense of place. In this new iteration The Rockley’s reception, restaurant, pool deck and public spaces have all been upgraded and repurposed adding an “art for the people” gallery, an outdoor covered bar area with a Beach Club vibe, a funky air conditioned interior dining area perfect for grabbing a quick snack or coffee and a fully equipped fitness room, play space and guest hospitality suite. The Rockley breaks from the traditional, self-catering, accommodations and provides a fun, playful, stylish, and hip hotel where you will feel welcome, entertained and at home!

The property overall was good! The evening activities were entertaining and helped maintain the vibe. The staff overall were good, polite and friendly. Olivia who cleaned our room every day was very polite and engaging. Tyrique at breakfast had good energy and could read the room and guest expectations. Access to beach and restaurants in the immediate vicinity was a plus!!!
What could be mildly improved is customer service, when seated away from the bar, staff ought to come by and ask if we’d like to order anything on a timely basis. A little nudge during happy hour can accelerate purchases. And though challenging, knowing new guests may not know about getting reservations, list of places to eat across different ranges, etc.; a concierge area to help in this regard would be invaluable. The facilities in our bathroom were finicky but not too troublesome for us; however other guests might expect more; hair dryer did no work in the bathroom had to use the kitchen outlet

Nice room. It was probably the worst $500 + per night place I have ever stayed and I have stayed in many. Value wasn’t there. Breakfast was the quality of a chain lower cost motel. It was so basic. On Saturday at 11 am they started hedge trimming the courtyard and pool area. They stopped at 6 pm. Seven hours of trimming and leaf blowing noise at the pool and bar area. Sunday at 11am the trimming started up again. We checked out fortunately.

It’s a fun beautiful property next to everything! Along his route from airport! Near beach food and the staff is so accommodating!! Nice fitness center and everything!! The kitchenettes are nice spacious rooms and soft beds!!! Full size mirrors on closet it’s perfect!!!

-We really liked the staff- especially Krystal, Troy and Zion. Everyone was friendly and made our stay enjoyable -Location is across from the beach and the hotel gives passes for free beach chair and umbrella which was awesome; didn’t have to pay or lug around stuff -Lots of restaurants on the boardwalk in walking distance -We felt safe here -Balcony was nice -Room was spacious (junior suite) -The overall vibe of the hotel was fun; they have different events during certain nights and it’s just a fun place -Shoutout to the Khalid Spotify playlist during the days. Music was 10/10 -Good wifi
-Nothing to dislike per se; but the food on the lunch/dinner menu wasn’t our favorite; more greasy than we like -Check in is pretty late at 4pm but thankfully we were able to check in at 3pm -We encountered some mild nasal congestion while using the AC in our room

Revamp has improved the facilities.
Breakfast was very poor and whilst it was possible to get a plain egg omelette if you added an extra (cheese for example) there was a $15 charge. This was out 5th stay at the hotel and the prices have almost doubled since the revamp so I would not expect to have to pay for cheese! I no longer feel it is worth the cost and with regret will probably not stay again.

Great location Lovely pool area & set up - nice that they come round offering drinks throughout the day Beach walking distance & great set up with beds etc Zion & Zenderya (I think) on reception were amazing & very welcoming and were a credit to the team so I believe they need a personal shout out ?? Big spacious room & comfy bed
Rooms are ok - a bit tired in general but, we didn’t use the room much so didn’t matter too much ? Also slight musky smell in room but, could be due to older air-con!
