This was one of the best places we have been to in 10 years. This great house is a mansion with a lot of charme, a library, many old antique rooms for leisure, it is beautiful set between trees and a wonderful view on the ocean. Very cozy with a friendly team of housekeepers. Thanks for your support and the tasty breakfast. That was not the last time we visited this place.

Amazing location amazing house. The best part it's the outside cottage to rent. Has its own balcony!!
I didn't like the breakfast timing. Too long to wait for it, still Vivienne he is great! Took great care of us.

Stunning location with awesome views. The house itself is beautiful inside, the rooms are spacious, the pool is huge and it is generally quiet. A small hotel with about 5 rooms in the main house. Vivian, the manager is fantastic.
There was a wedding on when we were there - first day they set up and second was the wedding, which spoilt the tranquility of the setting. Had we known we could have worked around it. The bed in our room was tiny - smallest double possible. The bathroom windows of our room (Historic 1) open onto the terrace where everyone has breakfast and cannot be closed which is very public and intrusive. The breakfast takes 1.5 hours so plan accordingly.

Its authenticity ... a beautiful home maintained to the highest standards with no disturbing music or noisy traffic. A passing parade of international travellers who want more from a visit to Barbados than the beach. Breakfast is a social occasion and sun downers give guests a chance to meet up but only if they wish. The stables and other buildings provide additional rooms for self catering. The pool, the manicured lawns, the trees, the view and even the occasional monkey ... The staff of locals and the security contribute to the relaxed atmosphere.

My stay as a lone traveller was superb. The property was beautifully maintained, the welcome was warm and hospitable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast plentiful. I would recommend.
As a lone traveller on foot I had to ensure I was back at the property before nightfall as the short walk from the bus stop was a little hairy with no pavement and no street lighting. Having said that, I managed perfectly well.

Excellent breakfast, staff exceptional.incredible views and fascinating public rooms. Great local knowledge about restaurants. Heywoods beach was the nearest long beach.

A historic house steeped in history and furnished with many antiquities. If I had a larger suitcase I would have taken the Kingsized Mattress in our room back home, it was so comfortable. Although only serving a breakfast meal the full English was fantastic.
The only moan was the hassle unlocking and locking the entrance gate. A chain with padlock might be easier.

you do need a car and there are no staff there overnight
