I really liked that the location of the hotel is near the main attractions of the town. There is also a tram stop nearby which will take you across the town. There are a couple of grocery shops nearby as well as cozy cafes. The hotel personnel was quite helpful and friendly! They gave me information about the main things to do in the town.
The bathroom is, in my opinion is quite small. There is a room for improvement for hotel breakfast. The hotel is cash only, so be aware of that: bring euros. It gets noisy during the evening because there are many people who want to park their cars outside.

Thin walls and no inside lock, have to use the key to lock from inside.

So much good to say about Pansion Stari Grad. Amen was super helpful, from guiding us into the parking lot to recommending places to go and being accommodating when checking out. The location is superb, just a 3 minute walk to "Baščaršija", the pulsing heart of Old Sarajevo, where all the touristy shops, restaurants, cafes are densely packed. Just steps away from the old city hall, the historic mosque, and the river. The parking is onsite, which was a great bonus - no need to drag our bags over cobblestoned streets at all. The rooms were clean, and the continental breakfast was modest and tasty.
Be prepared for the horrible air-particulate pollution of Sarajevo - I was not. People with asthma or other respiratory conditions should probably avoid Sarajevo, at least in the summertime. Unsure if it's better in other reasons - do your research.

The Pension Stari Grad is a very well situated lodging facility in Sarajevo. There is easy access to historical sights, restaurants and shopping. This pension is extremely well maintained and clean. The rooms are basic yet comfortable and in my view a good value. Breakfast is good. The people who staff Pension Stari Grad are competent, helpful and exceptionally pleasant. Meliah , Amer, and Selma all extended wonderful hospitality .
In the future anytime I come to visit Sarajevo, Pension Stari Grad will be my choice for accommodation.
The only drawback can be a bit of noise coming from the street and adjacent parking lot. The high quality windows in the rooms mitigate much of this.

Lovely old world vibes. Location couldn’t be better, so close to the action! And the tram as well. Also as someone who loves a big breakfast with lots of sweet and savoury variety, I was thrilled!

Staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the old town (but very peaceful), making it a perfect base for walking around the city or day trips to other destinations. I also loved the traditional furniture and interiors.
