Me and some of my friends were in Sarajevo on a conference and the rooms they put us in were dirty, without warm water and completely inhumane so I made a quick reservation at midnight for a room in Michele. The owner of the hotel was so lovely, she called me right in the morning that I can come as soon as I want to check in, she fed me and gave me coffee at the time the kitchen wasn't even working and we had a lovely chat at the terrace. Afterwards, she welcomed also my friends who were craving a hot shower and made reservations and was overall such a breath of fresh air and human touch after our horrible experience in the previous accommodation. The staff and the ambience at Michele which has this lovely vintage style completely changed our experience at Sarajevo completely which at first wasn't really the best. If I'm going back again to town, I won't hesitate one second to make my reservation again at Michele's and spend a lovely time with the best hotel staff you can find in the whole ex-Yugoslavia region. Also, the hotel is in a super position since you can be in the city centre in less than 10 minutes but you are nowhere near the noises from bars or restaurants or anything like that since it's situated in a small and calm street. 10 out of 10 and biggest kisses to the lovely hostess!
I haven't got anything bad to say because I know even if I lacked something, that the stuff at Michele would've immediately provided it for me!

A NIGHTMARE. Worst experience ever.
For 70 !!!! Euros I enjoyed this shit.
It was dirty, with dust almost everywhere. From forgotten socks from the last people who unfortunately stayed there until cold water to have a bath.
2 hours we were waiting for hot water and we were forced to have a bath with frozen water.
They blocked probably my telephone so I can not be able to ask for help with that shit room that they gave us.
There is a parking spot for 22 euros and if you don't want it is very difficult to find a spot with such narrow and cliffed roads.
What we lived doesn't cost even 5 euros.

Staffs’ hospitality, kindness, interest and helpfulness.
Location was close to center.
Room was warm.
Coffee, tea and water were given free by the staff.
Even though we arrived after out check in time, our room was not ready and we had to wait.
We also chose double bed but there were two separate bed in the room. Not to sleep separately with my husband, we put the beds together by the help of staff. We could not sleep well and our backs so hurted because the bed was so uncomfortable.

The staff at Hotel Royal Gold was wonderful. Quite friendly & helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the famous Latin bridge, among other attractions. The hotel has some fun history, with Hollywood stars such as Morgan Freedman & Kate Hudson being past guests.

I absolutely loved the unique antique style of the Royal Gold Hotel. The elegant vintage decor throughout the property gave it a charming, timeless atmosphere that made my stay feel special. The room was not only beautifully furnished but also incredibly comfortable. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, with a variety of fresh options that were a great way to start the day. The friendly and attentive staff really enhanced the experience, making it a memorable stay.

Perfect location, helpful staff, and new Director/owner. Tram and trolley station near the Hotel, city canter few minutes by walk. Bascarsija is only two trolley stations away from the hotel. Everything is perfect I'll recommend the hotel and will come back again.

Room was beautifull, lovely view and very clean..

We booked a room, booking confirmed our reservation and we arrived at a closed and nearly abandoned hotel. We knocked the doors, the ringbells and nothing. We called and the gentlemen responsible then informed us that the hotel is closed and he cancelled all reservations. He didn't cancel anything and till now you can book a room in the platform as he hasn't give a little time to inform booking. Terrible service

There were no breakfast but just nearby there were several good restaurants! Helpful staff 24/7 and they had fresh and tasty fruits in reception all the time. Nice place to stay!

The Hotel Michele is highly recommended for guests looking for a personable and non-corporate experience. The staff was fabulous and friendly, and I really enjoyed staying in what felt like a "real" residential neighborhood above the tourist madness. My room and the hotel itself were quirky and no-nonsense. While not an especially glamorous stay, I highly appreciated the peace and quiet as well as the sincere staff who didn't faun on guests with saccharine sweetness, instead showing old-school hospitality. Many thanks!
I hope breakfast returns. It would have been a great option...though there's a great cafe just down the road and a very relaxed and popular shisha lounge a few blocks away.
