Very nice hotel that is located at the old city center. The staff was wonderful. I do not have enough kind words to thank them. We were caught in Bosnia in a very difficult personal situation. The staff was very helpful and supportive. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Even though the hotel is in surrounded by lots of restaurants & bars and close to all the mosques etc., my room on the 3rd floor was very quiet.
My mattress/bed was hard for my taste so I cushioned it with another comforter & pillows. The TV had NO English speaking channels even though a taxi driver told me they were available & he had them. Al Jazeera was the Balkan version. I like to watch the news. This was the 1st time I've encountered no English channels & very few channels were even available.

Loud music in street due to bars etc so might not be ideal for young children or early sleepers.

Hotel Astra is in great location close to the Old Town, bars, the river, cable car etc. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, special thanks to Mustafa for helping with my bus ticket and taxi to the correct bus station (Sarajevo has more than one bus station!) Rooms are clean and comfortable with a good breakfast included. Strong WiFi in all areas too. The onsite restaurant is good, alcohol free but plenty of bars across the road!
No complaints, it was all good.

Very good location in Sarajevo city center. Everything is in walking distance so you can explore the city by foot. There are lot of places to eat and also there is quite lively night life around. Easy access by taxi which brings you in front of the hotel and no need to walk with luggage.
Rooms are ok but little bit out of date. There is some night life happenings on weekend in front of the hotel but we had fun so not a problem at all
