The location was perfect
They have taken a fabulous hotel and turned it into a overpriced hotel with substandard facilities . The towels were stained and crusty, some reception staff fobbed us off because he was on his phone. At breakfast the wanted to charge extra for a fried egg and coffee. Everything else was overcooked and just awful. We used to stay at the Hyatt all the time and it was so beautiful and delicious food now it’s just a glamorous hostel. Such a shame, even staff told us that since the takeover it has gone downhill. We will never ever go back again

We were attracted to the location and the pool. The pool on a 36 celcius day was cool and shaded in the afternoon. As it is 2.8 metres deep it does not feel like bathwater on a very hot day.
IGA Supermarket with anything you would want at the doorstep. Free City CAT bus 1 block away which we used every day to explore the city. Lovely waterfront walks. Quiet, large rooms.
For the rate we paid, nothing, exceeded our expectations.
