Pleasant
Comfortable bed, modern bathroom and good bathroom amenities, and the balcony was nice feature.
The location was in the heart of the night life, which means that every night there was endless noise. The room provided no boundary, I woke up 3-4 times every night as if there was a live band playing right in my room. Furthermore, the breakfast is an added payment which it definitely should not be. It's a few types of bread/pastries and a little fruit, and I found myslef hungry an hour later every time. This was my most expensive hotel stay by far, and although it was pleasant enough, nothing stands out that makes me believe the price is warranted.

I’d recommend reading recent reviews carefully before booking this hotel, so you have a clear sense of what to expect. I arrived at approximately 11am during heavy rain. While I completely understand that standard check-in is at 3pm, I was told I could wait in the upstairs area or pay an additional early check-in fee. Given the already high nightly rate, this felt a little unreasonable. There were also no umbrellas available for guests, as they were all in use at the time. What added to the frustration was seeing other guests checked in while I continued to wait, which felt inconsistent and not particularly considerate. I had booked a room with city views but was instead allocated a room with a frosted window facing a building. When I raised this with reception, I was told my original room wasn’t available at 1:50pm, so I had been moved to an alternative room to allow for an earlier check-in. I wasn’t asked whether I was happy to accept a different room type to check in slightly earlier, and this effectively resulted in a downgrade to a room I hadn’t booked—just to gain access earlier. I’ve also taken a photo through the mesh showing what was described as the “city view” provided. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t reflect the price point ($261 for Friday Night and $276 for Saturday Night). There were no in-room amenities such as tea, coffee or bottled water, with everything located in shared areas. There’s also no desk in the room, which means relying on communal spaces again. The lack of a proper window—just a frosted door—makes the room feel quite enclosed. I also purchased a bottle of wine, but there was no mini fridge in the room to keep it chilled, which was disappointing. Noise insulation is another significant issue. Footsteps from the room above are clearly audible, and when the toilet upstairs is flushed, it genuinely sounds as though it’s coming from within the room. Music from other rooms is also audible, which makes it difficult to relax.

Amazing décor, very friendly and helpful staff, the room was spacious and clean. Very comfy and smelled fresh. Would definitely come back here!
It would have been helpful to have a bin bag in the room to put rubbish in.

Loved the aesthetic of this hotel, and the location was excellent. Appreciated the complimentary coffee from the manager the next morning in the lobby. I enjoyed the LaGaia toiletries, and appreciated the choice of good quality here.
An in-room kettle with some decent coffee/ tea options, alongside a mini-bar would have upgraded this hotel to an almost perfect stay. Without them, there was something lacking.

Location being in the city was great
Probably the smallest hotel room I’ve ever been in. Having to look at a raw concrete slab for a ceiling made me feel like I was staying in a renovation and not a hotel. Having earplugs supplied was not a good sign from the start and having to hear each time the room next door flushed the toilet was not pleasant. With talks leading up to the stay I was informed I could use an E card from Alex hotel to pay for the stay but was then told at the venue I couldn’t use it.

Perfect simple breakfast, peaceful common areas.
My air-conditioning unit was kind of noisy, kicking in and out and pulsing. Nothing silicone earplugs couldn't fix tho.
