Wonderful
Able to lounge around the pool with a few drinks and utilize the BBQ for a few nights instead of going into town. HAs an honesty bar if you didn't want to walk 5 mins down the road to the bottle shop.

Fair
Staff was very responsive (although only available from 9-5), and helpful in assisting when I had issues during my stay. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful fauna, the pool looked really clean and was in the sun mid-day, they had cool hostel-like outdoor spaces like an honor-system bar with CDs/boombox, pool table etc. They list shuttles you can call to use in lieu of no ubers being available. I used Excellence - Charlie and his team were very friendly. Though if you dont have a local line this will be difficult (I got a holafly esim at the airport for whatsapp)
Expect a LOT of critters - allegedly I had an unusually unlucky experience per the manager and he was fair in providing a partial refund. But the cleaners were straight up horrible here. Dust all over the ac, curtains, blinds and under the bed, grease barely wiped away on stove, leftover food bits on most plateware/ice trays, massive spider in pantry upon arrival, cockroaches in my bed/ac unit. Bed was uncomfortable with a bar running down the middle. Slept horrible the whole week. Its also a 20 min-ish walk from the main town area which is safe at night but long.

Very large, private, very clean. Well stocked. Nice grounds
Perhaps a bit dated. Could use nicer coffee maker

Loved our stay here. Nice, clean rooms and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you’d need. Very spacious rooms and outdoor seating and a private outdoor tub/shower. We didn’t get to take advantage of the pool but it looked really nice. An easy 20 minute walk into the main area where all the restaurants and shops are. We just came for the day to visit the Daintree rainforest but wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful
Would stay again in this rainforest. We enjoyed your DVDs after days at the beach. Walkable to downtown in 9 minutes. 60 min drive to Daintree rainforest.
A few windows had screen and no glass windows. AC kept night temperature comfortable for sleeping without difficulty.

the pool, the area for pets. location
The toilets are too low to the ground. Staff should probably be around a bit more often

Wonderful
Great place to stay on the outskirts of town. Retro decor, fully enclosed yard for the dog. Kitchen facilities if you want to use them and full sized fridge. The pool is super and heated I think as it was nice and warm. The staff are very friendly and helpful let us extend our stay as we had no power at home.
It’s a little dated but we didn’t mind that at all.

I loved it - it’s quirky and relaxing.
It is just a little bit too far out of town.

Wonderful
Such a great, colourful place with everything one could want. The setup is so good and easy for traveling with a puppy, thoroughly enjoyed it for the second time.
The bathroom feels a little old, some of the tapware needs replacing. The shower heads don’t seem very water efficient and it’s hard not to splash all over the bathroom. That said it still feels clean and comfortable.

I have stayed at Pink Flamingo a few times and love its bohemian vibe and private cabins. The pool area is great and walking distance to main street of Port Douglas.
The cabins are feeling a little unloved at the moment, however the price reflects this.

Wonderful
Quirky spacious, private accommodation; very quiet, lovely to wake to the sound of birds. Pool ideal and honesty bar was a bonus.
20 minute walk to the main town and restaurants; though restaurants nearby.
Slightly tired

The gardens and jungle plants are exceptional! The room was spacious and and the kitchen was well-equipped. The outdoor shower was amazing especially being surrounded by jungle and so any birds. We also loved the pool. It is well-maintained and the whole place is very fun.
