Exceptional
Location was great- very close to downtown, right next to the beach. Very convenient. Also, it has a one lane swimming pool and we are swimmers, so also very convenient for a swim where we did not have to worry about stingers. Manager was lovely, helped to take our bags up and down the stairs when we arrived and left. Just a few small maintenance issues, nothing major. Overall, very comfortable 2 bedroom with 2 ensuites.
Just a little dusty in a couple of spots. Nothing major.

We had a first floor apartment which was comfortably furnished. We have stayed in a number of apartments in Port Douglas over the years and return to Mowbray because of the size of the balconies and proximity to the beach. The staff are very pleasant and helpful to deal with. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom.
The bathrooms are becoming a tired when compared to more recently built properties. There is no lift so accessing the upper floor apartment requires climbing stairs which would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

The (heated) pool and resort location are winners!
Martin ( manager) was very helpful and attentive - inc lugging our heavy cases to and from our top floor unit. Thanks Martin!
I think that it’s probably time for some refresh of some aspects. Eg. Our bathrooms were very modern and fresh but some kitchen floor tiles were chipped and doors did not shut easily ( I go understand the swelling of woodwork in a humid climate).

The Pool Area was great and a lot of fun - very social for all. BBQ area was great too. Location to town and the beach is exceptional and the Foxtel is great too, especially for the kids.
The room we had, bizarrely had the toilets in the old shower recesses, so the toilet door was a frosted glass door! The place was not overly clean and our apartment is very dated - hasn't had money spent on it, since the 1980's I'd guess. While one bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap, the other bathroom did not.

The apartments are in a fabulous location, convenient to everything.
You can walk to the shops, restaurants and beach from the apartments.
Our apartment was a very good size and well equipped. The whole complex was very clean and well maintained. There is a lovely pool with bbq facilities beside it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mowbay by the Sea. And would have no hesitation in recommending it as a great place to stay.

Great location to town & beach. Spacious rooms. Lovey balcony. Washing machine and dryer were great for life with toddler/baby. Comfortable beds. Warm pool. Only thing was under beds/couch and TV unit didn’t seem to be cleaned found and we found old things (socks toy rubbish) when trying to search for our toys when leaving. Couldn’t get platforms to work on the TV but not the end of the world also didn’t make an effort or ask as wasn’t to bothered. All in all easy and affordable! Thanks for the stay

Location was within walking distance to restaurants and marina and local lookout/walking track.
Entire resort requires a deep clean including inside apartments.
