We liked the facilities
The check in process. We waited for 15-20 minutes then the staff member that checked us in, apologised for the wait, which was good but came across as condescending.
We didn't have the room cleaned over the 3 nights because it was late afternoon each time they rang the bell to ask if we needed the room cleaned. They were very polite but the timing was too late in the day.

While we were checked in, the staff were lovely. Very fast, and surprised us with a lava cake for our impromptu honeymoon
During the night I place my snow jacket under my pillow for some extra prompt, and in the midst of running out the next morning for work, I completely forgot about my jacket. We were staying in room 702 from July 3 to 4. About half an hour after we left, I realised what I had forgotten and I called reception. They said it hadn't been noted yet, but she would follow up, and call me back. I never heard back. I called twice more over the next few days, and the same thing. Housekeeping hadn't reported finding a jacket, and the would follow up and call me back. I told them exactly where it was, which side of the bed, what the jacket looked like, what colours and any words on it. I still didn't hear anything. On tuesday, July 8, I called again, frustrated that an expensive snowjacket that was given to me as a present by my late grandmother was presumed stolen at this point. I spoke to a woman and I said while I hate to accuse anyone of stealing, either the housekeepers do not make the beds and change the sheets after guests check out, or a member of the housekeeper has taken the jacket home with them instead of checking it into the lost and found. All I got was a "yes, I'm very sorry". I felt completely infuriated and dismissed. That there would be no repercussions, that "it is what it is". I paid $700 for one night, and almost $300 in drinks and food to spoil my new husband. I had come to the venue previously for my hens night and was so excited to show my husband this hotel. Now, I am completely saddened that someone has taken the jacket, and the hotel doesn't seem to care. Would not recommended this venue to anyone.

Overall, we had a great stay. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a very handsome young man—if I got the name right, it was Gordon—which left a wonderful first impression.
One small issue we encountered was with the restroom next to the gym. The faucet wasn’t working, and another one was locked. It was a bit awkward since I had soap on my hands but no water to rinse them off.

The breakfast was great. Food and drink at the venue was top quality. Pool and other facilities were great. Location is excellent- not right in Surfers Paradise so a little quieter. Tram made it easy to get everywhere.
