The pool area is lovely
The hotel and rooms are very run down. For the price charged this hotel needs an upgrade.

The pillows and bed were lovely. Staff were amazing from concierge (Guy, Sean, Paul and another young man, but missed his name) to housekeeping. So friendly, helpful and informative. Lovely housekeeping staff went out of their way to help and nothing was a problem, from making up the sofa bed to changing the linen and daily housekeeping in our room. Wonderful service. The pool area overlooking the Broadwater was exceptional. Fresh prawns daily from the trawlers next door to the oysters from Peters Fish shop (also next door) were delicious. Such good value for money. 50 for 2 kilo and 27 a dozen of the most delicious, fresh, huge oysters. Cocktails were out of this world. The honeycomb cocktail was delicious. The best we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and stay.
Breakfast was a hit and miss. They still do eggs benny; you just make it yourself which isn't a problem. Coffee was great. There is a switch (like a light switch) behind the bedside table in the bedroom that needs to be left on, so the lights work. We weren't told this and would never have found it so had to ring reception at 5.00am to ask how to turn the lights on. Wasn't a huge problem (quite funny actually walking around in the dark bumping into walls and each other). The lovely lady from reception came straight to our room and showed us where the switch was. Thank goodness for 24-hour reception. Overall, a wonderful time away.

The upgraded room was beautiful, the jacuzzi was worth every penny and we appreciated the later check out time. Breakfast was delicious and the whole atmosphere was very classy yet relaxed.
Review is based on the upgraded room, not the first room we were given which hadn't been cleaned.
When we arrived, we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. The beds were unmade, bins were overflowing with used nappies, sanitary pads and rubbish and it overall looks like the filming location for a children gone wild documentary. Had to phone through to reception a few times as I just kept getting hung up on with no return phone call to let us know what was being done about the situation. Eventually ended up taking photos of the room and going back down to reception and they gave us another room. Was just disappointing as we were already late and stressed due to the horrific traffic only to then spend the first hour of our stay in limbo.

Pleasant
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking was a bonus. Hotel and room were very beautiful and detailed. Buffet breakfast was very nice.
No bath towels in room. Called housekeeping, left 2 messages, no response. Called reception 3 times before they answered so a total of 3 hours so we didn't get showers before dinner. Pool was freezing, full of seagulls. Room had a view of the carpark, lots of others free but they decided to give us that one. Breakfast was really good but eggshell in the poached egg. Patio doors on low floor would not lock - felt unsafe due to sign on door encouraging you to lock them. Only realised at 9pm once kids had gone to sleep so could not get anyone over hence a sleepless night.

Been here before so decided to return, it’s worse than before, no indoor pool/ spa working, missing little touches like they used to do before leaving chocolates, bath salt etc
No indoor pool

Great breakfast included. Parking provided and great location.
Shower and toilet frosted glass, makes it a bit difficult in a family shared room.
