No bar or restaurant. Told us cafe hall in a foyer nearby but didnt tell us it was closed on saturday and sundays .

Good location, much fancier than I expected. Staff were lovely, however had trouble getting into contact with them via the booking app or they didn’t answer their phones of a night time. Beautiful rooms, very clean.
The bed/sofa were so hard and uncomfortable, we got given a sofa bed that would have been better for a kid - but we booked for 3 adults. The snacks and bar fridge in the room were so tempting but so expensive..

Front reception staff were excellent, responsive, very friendly and helpful! I have given feedback on these staff and not on the night staff who were absolutely terrible.
The fire alarm went off after 10pm and we had to evacuate from Level 14. Smoke doors all closed and it was not clear which way we should go to evacuate. Exits werent clearly marked & we ended up going back & forth. My daughter & I helped an elderly woman who was v confused as announcements were not clear. Then the announcements just stopped adding to the confusion - we didnt know where the fire was, if we were trapped, if we should evacuate, if the threat was over, etc. We then became trapped in an external stairwell & after checking to find an exit, I went back up for my daughter & the elderly guest. At the time her daughter wouldnt leave her room & she was scared & confused. We got out, however the guests daughter didnt evacuate. If the situation was worse in hindsight, I can see that the outcome for her & even us may have been very different. There were no staff supporting us, no appropriate signage or announcements over the loud speaker. Eventually we ended up in a dark back alley & made our way to the entry to the hotel where there were a lot of confused guests. No staff had control of the situation or were talking with authority. We were still confused, although we did get close to the fire brigade to hear that the matter had been resolved. Eventually there was an announcement made however the person providing the announcement had poor english as the message was not clear. I was extremely concerned that there was no support or direction from hotel staff & guests were left to themselves. Staff were silent or not there to assist. This was concerning for us & families with young children were very distressed & crying. Once we thought it was okay to return to the room there were no staff to assist with lifts. Stairwells remained locked off & people who tried to go up the stairs found doors to each floor were locked & returned to the lobby. Guests queued at the lifts & made their own way.
