The location was great. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very generous.
The room was a bit dusty and has a musky smell. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided. The checking in was a bit cumbersome. Had to check in online but didn’t really make the arrival any more seamless.

Our stay was in one of the Chippendale loft rooms, this layout on 2 levels provides a separate lounge area downstairs with tv, bluetooth speaker and turntable - separate from the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The beds were comfortable, aircon was quiet and effective, and a good shower. The rooftop pool area has views and the water is warm. Being able to borrow records from reception to play in your room is cool.
We had asked in advance for a twin room but there wasn't a twin available when we arrived so staff had to unzip a king bed. The price list for the minibar is only available through the tv. I understand it's meant to be a retro experience but nevertheless the Clare Bar is looking somewhat tired and would benefit from a spruce up to give it more appeal as a daytime venue.

The bathroom was really good and I found the staff really friendly and helpful.
The pillows were not very comfy and made my neck a bit sore. I also found that a noisy family were put in a room next to me and woke me up really early on more than one occasion. Better sound proofing the walls would be great.

The location and the hotel interiors. Quality of Breakfast was great
The room smelled like cigarettes. Probably the guest who stayed before us was a smoker and the room was cleaned and sanitized correctly. We also found a dirty sock in the room who belonged to someone else.

Great room, very spacious and comforable bed and pillows. Breakfast was great.
No disposable shaver for men. No floor mats for the bath area unless you ask for it.

Loved the unique fit out of the room. The bed was super comfortable. The location was excellent, close to central station and walking distance from the tram and city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included in our stay which was delicious.
Parking is a bit of a challenge.
