Wonderful
We have stayed here before, and the spectacular views were very well enjoyed again.
The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast each day is good.
The shuttle service was well organised and quick to respond.
The TV programs free to air is limited and the extra charge for movies is a bit steeper than we would like.

A hidden gem - much better than staying in the city. The staff are super friendly and the views breathtaking- the rooms are iconic history and stylishly renovated. The food delicious.

Very Good
Beautiful location. Simplicity and classical.
No aircon (was hot) and TV is mounted flat on walls instead of on angle arm. So don’t bother watching TV anyway. Lovely place though and it is what it is.

Very Good
Sensational location and scenery, enjoyable walking onsite with lots to see and read. Really interesting history, with good documentation available to read. Friendly staff. Shuttles to get about the site and into Manly easy and relatively prompt. Accommodating staff response when it was realised the Boilerhouse Restaurant was upstairs.
Rooms were ok. Power point behind the bed was tricky to hook up my CPAP, no aircon plus the only way to get fresh air meant opening doors onto a shared verandah. Breakfast was standard hotel offerings. Adequate without anything standout. Food choices at the cafe were very limited for lunch, and pre-made which was tricky for dietary issues.

Location, someone said this is Sydney’s best kept secret and I agree. It is in the city but it’s quiet. It’s peaceful without traveling too far away from the city.
The room is a little bit old. E.g. the toilet. My hair dryer was broken (the one connected to the bathroom) so I have to ask them to get me one. I understand that this is refurbished room. Hence, no fuss. Also lack of ventilation in the bathroom and not really powerful water from the shower but we get by. We only stay for 1 night so all of this is not a big deal. If you are staying longer maybe consider a bigger room? With different facilities.

Wonderful
Great location with history, a unique and very special accomodation. Just great.
The receptionist on last Sunday with the glasses with the thick frame. She was unfriendly, rude. We just wanted to drop off our luggage and have some lunch. She bellowed at us that we are too early. Thankfully a very friendly staff member turned up, allocated a room number to us and made our check in very smooth.

The history is amazing - the staff excellent. The views brilliant.
The room was a little stuffy and some of the buildings need a bit of maintenance eg gutters massively overflowing in places.
