The Altstadt Hotel Mosser Villach mit Parkplatz is a charming and historic hotel right in the center of Villach, only a few steps away from the Congress Center, the train station and the bus station. This completely renovated hotel offers 45 cozy rooms and suites, all of which are new or totally refurbished. All rooms are stylishly and comfortably furnished and feature especially nice bathrooms (partly with hot tub). There are also rooms with a connecting door. Family-run for over 250 years, the hotel also features a bicycle room with tools and occasional expositions of paintings. The spa oasis offers a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a generous relaxation room which can be used at a surcharge. A rich breakfast buffet is served in the pleasant atmosphere of the winter garden. All Austrian daily newspapers are provided. The hotel is completely nonsmoking except for the bar. Free private parking spaces are available, subject to availability. Garage parking is possible against a surcharge. Included in room rate: Hotel Guest Card for using 2025 all local trains (S-Bahn) in carnthia free of charge and many other offer!

Supreme location, "old school", classical hotel with loth of charm. Lovely caffe on the ground floor, with regular guests contributes to the "home-like" feeling.
Some issues with key cabinet delayed entry to the hotel, but were quickly resolved by staff on duty.

Location! Typically we don’t like to stay near a train station but Villach station is clean,appears safe and several nice looking hotels right across the street. We had to walk 2 blocks but it was fine. We walked across the street twice to a restaurant that was great, Villacher Breuhoff? The hotel breakfast was a very nice assortment of items.

The room was quite spacious, clean. We required a quiet room and they took care to give to us one. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice, and during the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast was very tasty.
The toilet was running continuously when we arrived, which was disturbing while sleeping. It was a bit stuffy, but opening the window was not a good idea because of the central location.

The Atmosphere and staff. It is a building of old style But when you stay.In large cities being able to stay in the older style. Reminds you what it was like in the past. Although everything has been modernized, so there aren't any inconveniences with respect, the " old style." Parking was easy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made us feel like the hotel was our home.

I always admired this colorful building with its charming Parisian type outdoor/indoor cafe and chairs during my previous visits to Villach. Finally I stayed here,and it was great. It appears to be an older building that has been maintained very well.Clean,small,well run.Large rooms,high ceilings,modern bathrooms,comfortable bed. Good WiFi.Across the street is the taxi stand-and a vantage point to admire the gorgeous snow-capped mountain range.The train station is a 2-minute walk.The river ,a one minute walk.Old Town,just across that river's bridge. Cafes and restaurants nearby.Breakfast offered limited but high quality items. Freshly home-made bread too.Very reasonably priced hotel,at least in winter. Hotel was prompt in answering my emails-which is a sign of a well managed business..

Good location, friendly staff.
This is not a 4star in my opinion. It needs an upgrade. You have to reach into the shower to get soap to wash your hands at the sink. A gurgling noise started in the middle of the night and when we got up in the morning sewage was coming up the shower waste. We had paid for breakfast but didnt bother, the breakfast area is from the 1970's.

Great location within easy walking from the train station. Hotel staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast in the lovely indoor garden atmosphere is excellent. Rooms are clean and spacious! Lots of great area restaurants and shopping close by. The mountain views from the nearby bridge are breathtaking! The town has a friendly, easy-going vibe, and the decorations for the Christmas Holidays are colorful and creative! I love it here!
