The Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser is one of Vienna's most traditional hotels, offering an ideal city center location in a quiet side street of Kärntner Straße. The Karlsplatz Underground Station (lines U4, U1, U2) can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Built in 1684 and family-owned since 1904, this small baroque palace is only a few minutes’ walk from the State Opera, the Hofburg Imperial Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. All rooms at the Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a laptop-sized safe and a mini-bar. Coffee is also available in the lobby, 24 hours a day. A rich breakfast buffet is available from 07:30 to 11:00 and breakfast can also be consumed in the privacy of your room. Numerous restaurants, bars and cafés are in the immediate vicinity of hotel, as well as the Ringstraßengalerie, an inner-city shopping mall. The booking said large double but it was two twins side by side and two tiny duvets which hardly covered us at night. Also towels quite thin

Location - centralized .the main entrance leads to the subway about 10 mins straight path and there is a back exit which is about 5 mins away to another metro .Both ways about 3 stops away from the Wien hbf.There is a Burger King nearby .In a quiet yet bustling neighborhood . Room - Thank you for the complementary upgrade to a Junior Suite. Everything in the room was excellent , housekeeping was fantastic. Breakfast - enjoy the deco of the breakfast area .The spread was alright as both of us were vegetarian . I will stay here again if I am coming back to Vienna .
The shower area -only one panel of the glass to keep the water splashes during showering but not enough .The water overflows to the floor after each shower and the toilet area was not spared as well .

We had a lovely 2 nights in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Brilliant location very close to the centre of the city.
Our bathroom was clean but smelt very damp and we couldn't get the shower head to stay up on the pole so had to hold it by hand.

Fabulous oldy- worldy hotel in a perfect central spot surrounded by good quality restaurants and bars and fantastic sights Room was delightful and staff were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
