Great location. Great history of the hotel. Clearly designed to be outstanding. Staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and kept at a comfortable temperature. Great breakfast buffet too.
Some miscommunications about my possibilities for prolonging my stay there made some initial friction but that worked out in the end.

A charming historic hotel in a great location. The property is very clean, with excellent breakfast and high-quality food and service at the restaurant. The room was spacious and quiet, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything was excellent!

Lovely hotel, quiet, attractive, very helpful staff, located by a tram line that took us everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast is outstanding, the dining room attractive, though a bit large (yet never seemed overrun). The room (a superior double) was comfortable and when we asked, sheets were provided so we could dispense with the hot, heavy duvets. We also asked for and received pillows that better suited my neck problems. We changed rooms as the initial room was on the street side and the trolley noise woke us early. A switch was made right away to a comfortable, quiet room. The restaurant food was outstanding.
Just ask for a room not on the street side to avoid any noise from the early tram .

Location is great for walking to the old city centre, and venues on the canal. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The ambience has a great character and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The last night there were late noisy in the next door room, and I could not do much about it.

Hotel location was excellent: close to the tram, the U-Bahn, and close to the old town but also far enough from the old town to feel like we were in a proper neighbourhood. A few supermarkets around and two excellent cafes around the corner near Nestroyplatz.
The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable - they even had some firmer pillows for us! Hotel wifi was excellent, I had to work one of the days we were there and had no problems at all.
Breakfast was fairly good, and the breakfast staff were always very friendly. The night-time reception staff were always very friendly.
We booked a Superior double room, and while it was fine, it was at the back of the hotel, and quite a hike from one end of the hotel to the other. Doing it several times a day certainly added to my step count!
The breakfast staff were very nice, but they seemed a little stunned at times. There were queues for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, but there was more than enough room if tables of four had been separated into tables of two. I understand these things can happen, but for a hotel that's been open so long I imagine they would have had it under control by now.
The hotel's claim of being the oldest brings means that it's trading on an idea of splendour that it doesn't really have in real life. There are parts of the hotel that are clearly from more recent renovations that could maybe do with an update.
There were a couple of people on the reception for the day shift who were fairly curt.
The hotel has no other facilities, so I can't comment on those.
We had a great 5 days in Vienna, and between us we took over 1000 photos, and not one of the hotel or room, so take from that what you will. It is nice, it's clean, it's comfortable, but it's nothing to write home about.

The room was small but very comfortable. Excellent for a business trip when spending relatively little time at the hotel. Breakfast was good but not top( for Austrian standards which are usually very high) . On the other hand, there was a very broad choice of food.
The bed was rather short. Just enough for me , 190 cm.
