The atmosphere is truly old-world and palatial. The décor, the music, the staff attire — everything makes you feel fully immersed, as if you were inside an imperial palace from another era.
We had requested a room with separate twin beds, but were initially given a double bed with no alternative available. Only the following day were we able to change rooms.

Loved the interiors and focus on Viennese history and artefacts. Very cool vibe inside.

Well located and easy to get to.
The staff are mostly pleasant and helpful, particularly in the restaurant/bar.
Clean and well stocked room.
We weren’t briefed about the heating/aircon situation so our room was extremely hot at night.
We weren’t provided with slippers (which are available on request) which, for a carpeted room, is very much needed.
Some staff were rather abrupt and chilly, particularly at the front desk.

We were truly very happy with the hotel we stayed at.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt well-organized and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained, and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The atmosphere in the hotel was calm and cozy, which made it easy to relax after a long day.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, always ready to assist with any questions. The location was also very convenient, and overall the hotel offered great value for the price.
We would definitely choose this hotel again and can warmly recommend it.

Excellent, convenient location near a train stop. The accommodations were very clean with great amenities. The room was elegantly decorated, and the hotel itself had a classic feel to it.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Hotel Stephanie very much! A great location, friendly staff and clean, nice room. There is a nice little grocery almost next door which was very convenient. I rather liked the old-fashioned hotel key you left at reception. We really enjoyed the little bag of Christmas cookies they left in the room on Christmas Eve. A fun surprise! We definitely recommend!
A minor issue was the bathtub. Maybe it was set up for baths rather than taking showers, but the faucet and controls were located not at the far end of the tub but in the center with the shower’s high pressure water hitting the half-size shower door so water ended up on the floor and sometimes flowing out of the room. With experience we learned to contain most of the water but it made taking a shower a bit awkward. I took up a lot of space here describing this but it was a very minor issue.

There was a very good choice for breakfast, hot and cold buffet style. The rooms were charming as was the hotel. Everything was very clean. The staff who cleaned our room were very friendly and smartly dressed. The beds were very comfortable and although the hotel was on a busy street, our room was very quiet. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The front of house staff were awful. The people on reception were unfriendly, unsmiling and made you feel as though they were doing you a favour every time you asked for your room key when returning to the hotel. Also the man who booked us in for breakfast each morning, was bordering on rudeness. No smile, no Good Morning. The waiting staff however were very friendly, as were the staff who served in the bar at night.
Also, the bottles of water in the room were not replenished each day. It's the little things that make people return. Hotel Stefanie would do well to remember this.

Rooms were comfortable, and the front desk service was courteous and helpful. The history of the building is amazing. Dinner was very good. Our waitress was really nice. The breakfast buffet in the morning had lots of good choices!

Exceptional service from all the staff. At one point I accidentally left my sunglasses on the patio after having a cocktail with friends. The waiter not only retrieved my rx sunglasses but remembered exactly who I was when he saw me next and told me where I could retrieve them.
