Given price/rate and reputation the room shows way too much patina (switches, sockets,…). A bad smell from the sink and an „always on“ AC/heating doesn’t help at all.

The hotel is the epitome of old world luxury and Viennese charm. The staff are incredibly gracious and kind. The location is in the heart of the inner city with views of the opera house and cathedral and within walking distance to many of the famous sites. It's busy all around the hotel yet inside it's quiet and peaceful.

Everything was above and beyond our expectations. Our room was quiet and peaceful and all of the staff were very accomodating. Alexandre Dimitrijovic at the breckfast buffet was particularly kind and professional and Dimitris at the Rote Bar helped make our evening dinner very special. Thank you, Sacher Wien, we look forward to seeing you again.
