Location was excellent, city center and steps from everything Vienna has to offer. Breakfast was also very good. Staff attentive and hopeful, went out of their way to help us with restaurants, taxes, ubers etc. The hotel itself is a bit dated. Did not have details that we would have expected (no water bottles, no phone in the room to reach the reception).

We could not have picked a better location for a hotel that fit our preferences. The hotel is stylish, beautifully decorated, very central - we walked to a lot of the attractions, and when we needed to take public transport, the subway and bus stations were just a short walk away. Tons of places to eat nearby - Japanese, Italian and Viennese cuisine - whatever your heart desires. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night, we enjoyed restful sleep which was very important to us. Beds were soft and comfortable. My husband felt the beds were too soft but to me they were perfect so it may depend on what you prefer personally. We had a room with a view to the interior courtyard. The staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly. The bar inside the hotel served tasty cocktails. The breakfast was delicious - we had an assortment of cold dishes - fruits, deli meats, cheeses, delicious buns (my favorite was the one with pumpkin seeds), yoghurt, juices, and hot dishes on a menu you could order from the waiters, and tasty coffee. If we return in Vienna, I would love to stay at this hotel again and would gladly recommend it to others. You can not go wrong with it! Sadly I don't know all the names of the staff there but Jana was very helpful when we checked in and out and the staff helping with breakfast was amazing too, as well as the talented and lovely bartender at Crux bar. Also a nice touch was the little chocolates that were delivered to us daily ? Thank you so much to all the amazing staff at Hotel Palais Mailberger Hof ❤️ you were a big part of what made our stay in Vienna enjoyable.

The location was perfect. The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were large by european standards and the beds (we stayed in different rooms at the beginning and end of trip) were very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. There were many high quality choices for the continental style or you could order from the chef. The staff was super friendly, very helpful and made great restaurant recommendations. We got a dessert on the house at one restaurant after mentioning the hotel recommended them. We loved our stay and will book Hotel Palais again.

Stayed here recently and loved it! The location is perfect — really close to everything. St. Stephen’s Cathedral is about a 7-minute walk, and Kärntner Strasse is only 5 minutes away.
The building is beautiful and sits on a quiet little side street, which makes it peaceful but still super central. The street itself has a nice vibe with classic Viennese charm.
Everything inside the hotel is well-kept and comfortable — a really nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
Would definitely stay here again!
