Vienna's oldest hotel is located directly in the city center, only 164 feet away from Saint Stephen's Cathedral and in the immediate vicinity of many other sights. Founded in 1746, Hotel König von Ungarn (King of Hungary) first served as the guest house of the archbishop and is especially popular with cultural travelers and lovers of opera, concerts and theater. The name was inspired by the Hungarian nobility, who used to stay here in the times of the empire. In the adjacent Mozart House, Mozart composed “The Marriage of Figaro”. Location is unbeatable, for sure. Wall to wall with Mozart' museum, 2 minutes walk to Stephanplatz. Bed is nice, mattress is good and bathroom is huge size. Recommend

For sightseeing, this hotel was in an excellent location. You could walk to lots of things, or walk to the metro and easily get "further afield". I liked that the hotel was part of Mozarthaus! The hotel itself was quite beautiful.
I thought the price for breakfast was extraordinarily high. To the point that we went out for breakfast! It was a bit bright in the room for me when trying to sleep, but nothing else to "complain" about. Overall it was good.

Excellent location, very friendly staff. A really pleasant vibe. The room I stayed in was huge and spacious — larger than many studio apartments people live.
The hotel doesn’t offer many facilities (no gym or pool), but the overall experience was great.

It was wonderful… we loved the venue, the accommodation was excellent and luxurious. We loved the darkness of the room and how quiet it was . The breakfast was wonderful. Scrambled eggs were perfect . The bar man was so good and very attentive and professional.. a very special place . Thank you

Everything went well. Nice hotel
The curtains in the room were not really blackout curtains and I had a ton of lights in the room during night from the street lights. And also the sunlight will wake you up very early in the morning. Everything else in the room was fine.

We had a wonderful stay at König von Ungarn. In the middle of Vienna, literally, close to every place you'll want to see and near the best restaurants in the town. The room is recently restored but kept the "old air" of the place. The AC works perfect. Bathroom utilities, perfect. Comfortable bed and all of this at perfect soundproof! We loved the breakfast: fresh fruits, juices, pastries, cheeses and lovely coffee.
