Vienna's oldest hotel is located directly in the city center, only 164 feet away from Saint Stephen's Cathedral and in the immediate vicinity of many other sights. Founded in 1746, Hotel König von Ungarn (King of Hungary) first served as the guest house of the archbishop and is especially popular with cultural travelers and lovers of opera, concerts and theater. My 2nd stay here. Absolute best location for a hotel close to Stephansdom. Beautiful, quiet historic hotel with lovely rooms. Everything was clean, in good working order, Internet worked great too. Breakfast was nice too, although with little variety.
A coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch. The breakfast staff could be a bit faster and better, a lot of young kids that don't even know what a Brie cheese is.

I arrived in Vienna late on Monday, 2nd June and had a reservation at another truly appalling hotel. Dirty, smelly and noisy. I simply couldn't stay there. Fortunately, I managed to secure a last-minute booking at this hotel, and I'm so glad I did. It made my trip. The young woman at the front desk, Cheng Yao, was simply so understanding, accommodating and willing to help. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and it was in a wonderful location in the centre of Vienna. Thanks, Cheng, for your professionalism. Makes such a big difference to have people such as you at the front desk of a hotel.

This elegant establishment excels at everything: staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; facilities are clean, comfortable, and maintained; location is perfect in the heart of old Vienna. For my stay it was worth every Euro!

Location is perfect for long weekend trip. Hotel is close to everything, almost everywhere you're able to get by foot. If you need assistance for concerts, museums etc. you can get it, with detailed advice.

You can feel such a charm the moment you just walk in , it’s a 300 years old building pretty well maintained , Mozart is always being played in the background, which is such a dreamy place for me . I enjoyed the Austrian wine here in the bar pretty much , especially the vibe at night is such a treat for me . Staff here are very professional and kind . I’d love to visit this place again in the future, I hope they can still keep the classy vibe forever.
