Room was good, clean, comfortable, with a great climate control system. Great breakfast with variety of pastries, tea, milk and other things.
Staff was not as friendly as I'd prefer them to be. Despite the fact that we paid for a double bed room half a year ago, they gave us a room with 2 separate beds, and after complaint offered to switch them only next morning. Me and my wife had to spend a night like this and they never offered any kind of good gesture after.
In a room for two (with two separate beds) there's only one classic socket. It also includes USB-A and USB-C, which compensates a bit, but I personally prefer not to use these anywhere outside my home, so it's a downside. There're more classic sockets in a room with one double bed, why it's so different, I wonder.
Also, scrambled eggs for breakfast were not as good as other things they offer.

Perfect quiet location a few minutes away from the city centre. The hotel is charming with clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and very good breakfast. We experienced a true Viennese atmosphere.

Very friendly and polite reception staff. Excellent breakfast, with many choices and good quality. Breakfast available for sufficient time in the morning. Very close to the center so by foot anyone can enjoy Vienna central city sites. It was my second reservation and will continue staying at Erzherzog Rainer during my future travel to Vienna.
There is nothing that I could comment on or make any complaint.

Great traditional style hotel in a central location with very friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes one grows tired of modern “design” hotels - Erzherzog Rainer has a touch of good old style professionalism about it.

You need to walk little bit for main centre, but around was quiet and safe.

Breakfast was good, as well as the location of the hotel.
The environmentally friendly air conditioning system was not convenient for us, as the temperature of the room could not be lowered. It was supposed to reach 21 Celsius, though it felt always warmer. They had to provide us with a fan!

The location is awesome. Close to tram 62,1 and WLB. Taubstummengasse U-Bahn (U1) is also walkable distance away, max 5-10 minutes. The area is quite nice with some traditional restaurants. Restaurant Wiener
Wirtschaft was one of our favourites which is conveniently just below the Hotel.
Breakfast was good but "small". Although it changes everyday which makes it good regardless.

Very good breakfast, excellent location, quiet but close to center.
The room keys you need to give away every time and get out. I understand it’s a tradition, but then at least make cleaning stuff you the same key so we won’t intersect in my room after breakfast
