This family-run hotel offers a very central location in a quiet street in the heart of Vienna, just a 10-minute walk away from Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. The spacious and modern rooms and suites of Hotel Das Tigra are air-conditioned and feature satellite TV, a mini-bar, safe, and a bathroom. In the morning you can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet with many typically Viennese dishes. Famous Viennese sights such as the State Opera, the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Burg Theater and the Graben, Kohlmarkt and Kärntner Strasse shopping streets can be easily reached in short walks. The Herrengasse Underground Station (line U3) is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. In 1773, Mozart and his father lived in a small apartment in the historical part of the hotel building, which dates from the 16th century, when they were invited to perform in front of the Empress Maria Theresia at Schönbrunn Palace. At the façade to the left of the hotel entrance, you can see a memorial plaque commemorating Mozart’s first stay in Vienna.

Small elevator, no proper door to the toilet (only a thin frosted glass pane, so not much privacy).

I had a great stay at this hotel during my trip to Vienna. The location is fantastic — within walking distance to the city center and two metro stations. The atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming and relaxed, with a nice vibe that makes you feel at ease right away. My room was very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, especially the desk, which I really appreciated as I always like to have a proper workspace when traveling for work (even if I'm technically on holiday — but that's another story!

A perfect stay in Vienna, centrally located. All the stations at walking distance to connect to any public transport. They have a vast variety of breakfast and the staff of the hotel is very very helpful in all the service. The rooms are very clean, comfortable bed, spacious, clean bath, and provide all the amenities as mentioned in the description

Good central location, 10 minute walk from airport bus drop off and close to bars and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and English speakers. Excellent continental breakfast, lots of choice and very fresh including honey straight from the honeycomb.
A little noisy at times due to lack of carpets but nothing that would stop us returning.
