This family-run hotel offers a very central location in a quiet street in the heart of Vienna, just a 10-minute walk away from Saint Stephen’s Cathedral. The spacious and modern rooms and suites of Hotel Das Tigra are air-conditioned and feature satellite TV, a mini-bar, safe, and a bathroom. In the morning you can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet with many typically Viennese dishes. Famous Viennese sights such as the State Opera, the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Burg Theater and the Graben, Kohlmarkt and Kärntner Strasse shopping streets can be easily reached in short walks. The Herrengasse Underground Station (line U3) is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. In 1773, Mozart and his father lived in a small apartment in the historical part of the hotel building, which dates from the 16th century, when they were invited to perform in front of the Empress Maria Theresia at Schönbrunn Palace. At the façade to the left of the hotel entrance, you can see a memorial plaque commemorating Mozart’s first stay in Vienna.

Perfect hotel. 10 Location is superb to visit the city. It is pretty close to go by foot to any place of interest. Breakfast was perfect, many options of food to taste and very good coffee. 4 mornings were not enough to taste everything. Service at breakfast was very nice - quick and pleasant. Young lady with glasses (sorry do not know her name) kindly managed visitors requests. Beds were comfortable to rest after long walking.

Boutique Hotel Das Tigra in Vienna is truly one of the best and most delightful hotels we’ve ever stayed at. From the highly professional and attentive staff to the thoughtful treats in the lobby like fresh fruit and delicious cakes, every detail was perfectly curated for comfort and enjoyment. The rooms were exceptionally cozy, beautifully furnished, quiet, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a restful stay. We were two older couples spending three nights in Vienna, and the experience was simply wonderful. Without a doubt, the next time we visit Vienna, we will absolutely return to this outstanding hotel. Highly recommended!

Hospitable with the little extras like hot and cold water , fruit, pastries and candies for guests in the lobby. Responded to questions and housekeeping supplies efficiently. If Mozart had to stay here again, he would have loved the hospitality and attention given.
