Since April 2016, I have stayed at this hotel around 20 times. Because I always made my bookings through booking.com, as the receptionist explained to me, the Grand Ferdinand is unable to recognize this through their system. As a result, the hotel has never been able to acknowledge me in any way as a returning guest.
The reception staff are excellent, as is the management of the housekeeping service. I always evaluate hotels based on the availability of shoehorns and newspapers: according to the reception, no shoehorns were available, which is due to the sporty clientele who tend to wear sneakers—however, newspapers are very plentiful at breakfast.
I have experienced breakfast on the rooftop terrace more than 50 times—it is a true delight, and its concept has evolved several times over the past decade. The three restaurants, which offer very solid quality following revised concepts, should also not go unmentioned.

Breakfast was a quite expensive for us and we preferred to test the wonderful cafes of Vienna. And about 100 EUR deposit muss be informed the guest on booking.com by booking the hotel.

Location is excellent for Old town experience and close to hop on bus.
Room design is horrible. No privacy at all. Open shower concept is not necessary. Very little space to put clothing. Noise to the street side rooms is very loud as well.

This is a wonderful hotel with an amazing team that truly cares about their guests. The staff will not leave you alone with any issue - they are always ready to help and genuinely involved in solving any problem that may arise.
Special thanks to Mark for his humanity, attentiveness and sincere willingness to help. He approaches every situation with real care and dedication, which makes a huge difference.
The entire hotel team is absolutely top-level - professional, friendly and very supportive.
The location of the hotel is also excellent - very convenient and well situated.
I have already stayed here three times and will definitely come back again.
