The former guest house of Emperor Francis Joseph, this 4-star superior hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Schönbrunn Palace and the Vienna Zoo. Fabulous huge suite, with balcony all the way around front and side of building, lovely rain shower. Huge comfortable bed and lots of wardrobe space. Delicious choices for breakfast.
Didn't like the fact that there was NO ramp on outside of building for the dissabled. I had to keep hobbling up the front steps on my crutches then go to end of corridor to the lift down to the garage to let my brother in the lift with his stroller back up to reception every day for 2 x weeks at least 4 x each day. (for such a posh hotel not to have a ramp fitted is beyond me), considering Vienna is well doccumented for it's compassion to the dissabled). Also hotel is a little too far out from the city, although the public transport is fabulous.

Brilliant Location and lovely room
Staff are very rude and abrupt. Never forget who pays the wages, and its always nice to be kind anyway. Be more welcoming and humble.

Nice room, good breakfast with lots of choice, you can get an omelette freshly made if you so desire. Great concierge and porter on check in. Friendly bar staff.
Arriving back after a Musikverein concert at 9.45pm, starving, we were told by two eye-rolling, smirking, patronising male restaurant /kitchen staff that there was nothing they could do for us as the kitchen was closed - despite the fact that the hotel advertises room service until 10pm. Fortunately there is a McDonalds across the road.

We stay here often because we are always satisfied. We usually take the larger room since we stay for more than 3 days. Really enjoy the buffet breakfast selections especially with eggs made to your choice.

Perfect location. Beautiful terrace where you can eat your breakfast. Delicious breakfast.
The absence of hygiene items and slippers. Its very strange for the expensive luxury room. And the worst: a lot of hair and stains on the bed . I used 6 sheets of the sticky roller to clean one bed. Its disgusting.
