This was my first trip to Vienna. The hotel had a great location and everything we needed. The staff were wonderfully attentive, especially the lady who greeted us, she was so helpful and quick to resolve any issues. Special thanks to her.

I wish I have the name of the gentleman with glasses who helped us he was working on Sept 4 at about 2:00 pm. or the young lady with long hair she was working Sept 4 at night time.I would have liked to recognize them by name .
The modern style of the room doesn’t allow for any drawers or storage. But the room itself is very nice. Shower is a bit compact. If you are solo in business that will be a great place.
Doubt it will workout for families.

Pleasant
I will start with the positives.
1. Quiet.
2. Spacious room.
3. Reasonably Comfy mattress.
4. Vegan eco toiletries.
5. There is a kettle
We wouldn’t stay here again. Here’s why. We didn’t want to stay somewhere old and grosse but also didn’t need the lap of luxury because we planned to spend most of the time outside discovering Vienna and its sites (and food!) but there are other places which are at an equal level to Spark Hilton that are cheaper and more transparent with their offerings.

Now for the real story.
1. Our room on the 6th floor was beyond stuffy and hot. They’ve locked the windows so restrictively (presumably for safety) that literally NO air gets through and it never gets cooler even though in the evening it went down to 12 degrees. This place would 100% be UNBEARABLE to stay in during summer months. And yet it claimed to have AC and when we called that was confirmed to us. This is a lie. What they have is an obnoxiously loud air system that actually doesn’t even work as a fan. It’s totally useless and is as loud as sticking your head inside a Jet engine. Nuts!
2. There is mold in the silicone of the shower. A small detail but it’s grosse.
3. There is a loud fan sound from the bathroom. It’s above the toilet and is incessant.
4. The tv channels are all in German. We get we are in Austria but I’ve literally never stayed in any hotel anywhere that didn’t at least have a few in English. They only had CNN hidden in the deepest depth between German informercials.
5. The TV is also fitted in place at an annoying slanted angle. Why? Nobody knows…
6. The pillows are truly criminal. They give you a large and small one. Both are like the insides of a cheap carnival toy. Wow. My husband and I woke up with crooks in our necks every day.
7. We went down on our 3rd and last night to check with the front desk whether we could stay another night as our flight was changed. We thought even though there were clear issues we would find it more of a nuisance to change hotels.
