Atmosphere

The house has a splendid location. The view into the valley is marvelous, it's on a quiet location with next few houses 300 meter away on the opposite site of the Venter Ache river, directly located to the start of beautiful, quiet hikes in either direction along the river or up into the mountain. But also next to a bus-stop and easy road which brings you quickly to bustling Sölden for all facilities and cable cars, or the other direction towards Vent. The living room on the attic is very comfortable, with the best view into the valley. Overall the house is very spacious, catering both for get-togethers as well as enabling family members to have their own space when desired. Thanks to thorough and admirable renovations and modernization, the house's utilities work perfectly; great, automatic heating, for example, as well as a relaxing sauna, so you can enjoy the charm of a 100 year old, wooden house without problems. The washing machine, dishwasher, oven and induction-based furnace: all worked well. Hint: when you don't want to pick up fresh bread from Sölden every morning (6 km ride by car), get yourselves these great frozen buns and 'laugenstangen' from M-Preis in Sölden and use the perfect oven to have your fresh Austrian breakfast. Communication with the owner and host was perfect, very friendly and responsive. During summer, the stream of the Venter Ache, some 50 meters next and below the house, is quite wild, so you'll hear this in most parts of the house. To us it was a great natural sound - but we decided to keep the windows closed at night to lower the noise a bit.
