Family-run since 1912, the nonsmoking, adults-only Bergland Hotel offers a quiet location in the center of Salzburg, only a 10-minute walk from Mirabell Palace, the Congress Center, and the main train station, and a 15-minute walk from the Old Town. Free WiFi is available. The Bergland’s rooms are individually furnished and feature spacious bathrooms. They are decorated with paintings from the art-loving owner’s private collection, but also with some of his own works. All rooms provide Aircondition.

Everything! Beautiful hotel- Great hosts. Inge could not do enough for us. Rooms were extremely tasteful & comfortable. We had 2 rooms between 3 of us/ both quite different. A real bonus to have them serviced everyday. Also lovely breakfast in the very cute dining room. Added bonus with an outside communal deck - can sit in the shade.

The staff were very helpful especially Liza who helped me locate a phone repair shop and recommended good restaurants near to the hotel. Breakfast was extra but well worth it.
Arriving late involved getting card key from a box at the side of premises. It's a shame reception couldn't remain open until 10pm. Flights don't always arrive early and tired travellers don't want the faff of locating keys.

The warm and friendly feel the minute we walked in. The hotel is the cleanest and daily making up of our beautiful room was very nice.

Lovely boutique hotel, great location away from the hustle and bustle but very convenient to walk about 10 mins into town. About 15 from the train station. Staff were very warm and welcoming and offered recommendations for restaurants. I loved the art on the walls and it had lots of character. Bed was comfortable, a/c was great on the warmer days I was there. Quiet hotel. Great vegetarian breakfast.

A family run hotel that was excellent. Our room seemed to have been recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. Short walk into town, not even 10 minutes. 15 minute walk to central station.

Great hotel all round. Very friendly staff from check in to departure. Asked for more pillows, no problem, asked for a taxi to the airport it was there in minutes, asked for a few extra milk pots for tea/coffee, no problem at all. Gave us tips and also free public transport vouchers for the city. The hotel is very well positioned to the centre (10 min walks to Mirabel Gardens) and 20 mins to the old town. Easily reached from the airport by bus #2 with a stop only a 3 mins walk round the corner. Would 100% stay here again, no question, the people that run the place are so lovely and welcoming.

The owners and staff are excellent, helpful and happy. The room was light and roomy, excellent bed, clean, new bathroom, quality bath towels and linen. Breakfast was a highlight, well worth it.
