Hotel-Restaurant Moser is set in the center of Pöchlarn, half a mile from Pöchlarn Renaissance Castle. It offers free bicycles, free Wi-Fi in all rooms and free private parking. Restaurant Moser serves traditional cuisine from the Lower Austria’s Mostviertel region and delicacies made from organic products. Exceptional
It is located just outside of the train station. We arrived after dark and it was a super easy walk. We had 8 people in our party and it was more than a hotel, it was a house with all the accommodations. There is a restaurant attached and we showed up after the kitchen was closed but they felt bad for us and made a couple small dishes to get us by until morning. I would love to go back!

The room was small with a strong smell of bleach, Beds uncomfortable and the area close to the train station was not the most welcoming. Very uncomfortable experience. The rooms need an update.

Very comfortable beds - good sleep!
Our stay: one night for two adults and one teenager. Rooms: This probably applies to most of Austria - hotels sell rooms from the past century at today’s prices. It seems we just have to accept that. However, the room itself was clean and the sleeping comfort was excellent - mattresses and pillows were very clean and made from natural materials. We really appreciated that - for us, that’s the most important thing for an overnight stay. (We stayed at separate old building). Location: Quite decent, right in front of the train station - so expect some train noise. The area is surrounded by warehouses, parking lots, and not particularly pretty buildings. Breakfast: Nicely presented, but unfortunately, the quality was disappointing. Burnt omelet, flies, dried-out products, cold boiled eggs, and cereals that were clearly not fresh. Poor choice of bread as well. Breakfast service: No privacy at all, which is surprising given that this is not only a hotel but also a restaurant! We were not allowed to sit at the table we wanted and were told where to sit - even though the restaurant was only about 5% full. They placed us right next to the only other occupied table, where a man was actively licking his fingers ??‍♀️ - not a pleasant sight when you’re eating. The waiter watched us closely and even commented on what we should put on which plate ??‍♀️. I did not find this friendly or welcoming. I cannot rate the breakfast positively. Suggestion: incorporate à la carte breakfast instead. I would have been perfectly happy with a freshly made omelet from the pan …

Fairly easy to find with GPS. Great breakfast. Room was clean.. Staff were friendly enough, particularly 1 young woman at breakfast, though only a couple spoke English sufficiently, but we all got by OK. Separate toilet stall. Parking was free.
The room was a bit dated. Shower stall was tight but manageable. Again feather pillows uncomfortable. Bed covers, as has been the case in all of Austria, are too thick to sleep comfortably covered up - just too warm. Leaving the windows open for cooler air also invites mosquitoes in as there are no screens, which again has been the case at every stay in Austria. No AC that we could find, though if we could have left the windows open more that would have been OK. Upon arrival the check in person wasn't terribly helpful - somewhat abrupt and just walked away before it felt like we were finished checking in.

It's a nice hotel close to the Danube, probably good for exploring the area around. We are always using it as a stopover when travelling home and happy with the service (especially the food).

Good location and OK value for money.
Despite being hosted in a separate building from their restaurant, the room had no kettle, coffee or tea or any waterglasses. Evening staff were incredibly straightforward, morning staff were friendly.

The price was by far the best we found in the Wachau area. Staff only speaks German, but it is generally easy to communicate. The area is definitely not fancy, by the train station, but the rooms are quiet as the face the other way. The restaurant is typical and not particularly cheap, contrary to the rooms, but good.

The parking is very accessible.
Unfortunately the breakfast was of far less diversity than expected. Instead of very good breakfast I would say good breakfast. We were placed il an other building seperately from the hotel.

Our family and dog stayed for a night, we got a big apartment. The apartment was from the 80ies but well maintained. Breakfast was OK, not too fancy.
