The position is fantastic. The staff was very nice and helpfull . Ski in ski out . But the slopes were bad! All the slopes in Lech were bad.
The hotel is not a 5 stars. Or , maybe for the family with children . A lot of facilities for the children ! Rooms without a coffy machine . We need to walk 150 meters to the restaurant and 4 flors . We need to rest after that. The SPA is modest . The pool is small and with a lot of children. The restaurant, with the exception of staff , was modest!

it is our second time visiting this hotel. we travel quite a lot and rarely repeat the same place! However, we surely will visit Sonnenburg again and again! it is the perfect getaway spot for a pampering long weekend or even longer stay during the ski season!

the floor of the steam room (spa) is a disgrace in a way it is made of extremely slippery tiles in a room where the floor is always wet. Result a very painful fall banging my head on the tiles and passing out for a little while, saved by other guest!

Great location directly on the slopes, very good selection at breakfast
Food and the service in the restaurant were mediocre at best - not 5* level. Waiters struggled to understand both German and English which made ordering tedious, wine bottle was placed far away and we had to remind them to get a refill. Spa facilities too small for the size of the hotel with the sauna in a dark basement.

For few days one can park outside the stress and relax absolutely in the comfort of this hotel.
The best for us was the spa and the wonderful food choices.
We travel a lot and rarely repeat the same place though this one is to be visited again !

Great logistics for skiing (extremely close to the lifts and to the childrens ski school, with in-house ski rental and storage room), very well equipped playroom for kids and fantastic caretaker (Ana). Also nice pool/sauna facilities for relaxing after skiing. Overall really enjoyed our time there and how easy and well planned everything was. We will certainly go back!
Beds are quite hard.

Beautiful property ski in and out direct from the door. The location was perfect to enjoy our early season ski holiday. The wonderful staff at reception, bar, restaurant, kindergarten and ski shop made our family stay most enjoyable. The food is outstanding as well. We will hope to return soon.

The hotel and personnel were really nice. Super clean room, the junior suite was an excellent choice; big room , clean, very comfortable beds, beautiful mountain view. We even got an upgrade on arrival, not to mention that we got a room already at 12 instead of 16 as normally, so also a really nice work from staff. Our visit was during off season 09.11. so the village was practically empty and all the restaurants were closed. Luckily the Sonnenburg hotel cuisine is excellent so we enjoyed the food & ambience there. The hotel seems a bit expensive, but when you consider that the excellent dinner for two, breakfast and your choice of quality cocktail ( we even got the afternoon soup and cakes for free) is included in the price, it makes it good value for the money. We really enjoyed our short getaway relaxing in the elaborated spa and saunas in the basement. Also seemed to have lots of infrastructure for children. Highly recommended!
Only a shallow cold water pool, we were missing a deep cold water pool.
