The staff at Xumec is super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a good location with parks and restaurants close by. The room was comfy. The shower was good too.
Our room which was on the side of the street where the entrance into the cafe is was quite noisy. The noise came from the restaurant next door that stays open until the early morning hours.
The kind staff did offer for us to change the room, but we did not feel like moving our stuff couple of days before leaving the hotel/Mendoza.
Breakfast gets a little tired with the same menu every morning, but the cafe will bring some extra items if you ask.

Rooms are clean but very dated. Good location. Friendly reception. Plenty of towels and the air conditioner worked great. Doors are a bit thin but overall the rooms are very well insulated from noise from neighbors.
I asked several times for a quiet room as I was there during Vendimia (the busiest weekend of the year). When I arrived, I was given a room facing the main avenue with lots of noise and traffic. Needless to say I wasn't happy as I specifically made a few requests for a room not facing the avenue. After I went back to the lobby, the receptionist moved me to a much better room with no noise. I just wish they had done that when I first checked in, as it was a request I made several times in advance.

Xumec is a very nice hotel. It is well situated at a 10 minute walk from the Main Plaza, a few minute walk to a market, a few minute walk to a grocery store and some nice shops on the other side of the street ! The room was very clean, quite nice and large with a little kitchen (fridge, microwave oven, sink). The breakfast was very good but only one coffee is allowed if you take the "breakfast included" option... you pay for the second cup ! The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Even though it is a busy street, it was quiet at night. I do not hesitate to recommend Xumec Hotel.
The "breakfast included" option should have more than one cup of coffee.

The Xumec exterior doesn't look immediately appealing. And it has its quirks - hot water takes a while to run. Lots of bedroom charging points are tricky to use with adapter plugs, but you'll find one that does. That said, it was one of the nicest places I stayed in a month long visit to Argentina. I loved that it's only a couple of blocks from Plaza Independencia, which has plenty of lively bars, restaurants, and ice-cream parlours. Staff are friendly and helpful - it has a real 'family business' feel. This family feel extends to homely, old school room decor which was a welcome change after slightly corporate feel of many other 3-star stays in Argentina. Best of all are breakfasts which are prepared to order. So instead of a huge but slightly dusty buffet with faintly stale industrial Robusta coffee, I enjoyed freshly made Americano. Continental breakfast will get you fresh warm croissants and fresh orange juice, the 'Completo' will include scrambled eggs cooked to order, fresh cut fruit, and cold cuts with fresh rolls. What better set-up could you ask for a day's wine tasting?
For me its quirks were part of its charm. My room overlooked the street - I enjoyed the buzz of the area, but if you're sensitive to noise, it might be worth checking room location.

The wonderful attention of the staff to meet all needs ( changed room to accommodate a safe) and provide information. The location, the value proposition, the breakfast and food at the restaurant where we had one lunch and one dinner.
The rooms need a bit of updating - bathroom cabinet was rusting and breaking down. Small detail in an otherwise great experience.

Great location in the center of Mendoza. Great walkability to cafes, restaurants, and sights. Our room had a lovely corner view. Having a small refrigerator, extra sink, cutlery, and kettle was very useful. Excellent breakfast at the café on the ground floor. Great breakfast service and front desk staff. Spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
