I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has a rating of 9. It’s not a bad place, but it definitely doesn’t live up to that score. I’d say it’s just okay — nothing more, nothing less.
One of the main issues is that the staff at the reception don’t speak English, which makes communication quite difficult for international guests. Also, I don’t see the logic behind having check-out at 10:00 and check-in at 15:00. Are they really cleaning all the rooms for five hours straight?
We weren’t even allowed to check out one hour later, which seemed unreasonable — I doubt they clean all the rooms at once; it’s probably done in order anyway. Overall, an average experience that doesn’t match the high rating.

The hotel is located very well. There are many restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the equipment was good enough. Bed was comfortable. The dinner was available in the hotel, the breakfast was tasty. The parking was available close to the hotel.
It was difficult to understand each other in reception, because our knowledge of Spanish was not good enough and English of personal as well. That caused some misunderstandings that led to different dinner order...

Room was spacious, slept well on the bed. Refrigerator and working cable TV in room. Air conditioner worked well and temperature can be controlled in the room. The maid was friendly and flexible in accommodating our comings and goings. There is a restaurant and the food is very good. Front desk staff was courteous and patient with my sometimes high maintenance girlfriend. Vending machine in lobby. Nice, calming ambience. Convenient location to pretty much everything. Area seemed quite safe even at night.
The restaurant has a bizarre reservation system we found difficult to navigate. Dinner has to be ordered in advance from a menu provided to the guests, and reservations are required. While this policy was not strictly enforced, there is only a limited menu for walk-in guests. As an alternative, there are a couple of good Italian restaurants right around the corner that are reasonably priced.

Breakfasts were good, but for me there wasn't enough variaty of the food offered. Adding something like omlets or fried eggs with bacon would have improved the experience drastically.
The room was very clean and the renovation was quite modern.
The area is really nice and the beach is only a couple of blocks away from the hotel.
The room wasn't sound-isolated enough. We had neighbours with a newborn baby and we were having a really hard time sleeping at nights when he/she was crying.
There was no bottled drinkable water in the room.
The room itself was a bit smaller than I expected.
Also, the room seemed to be quite empty. Adding some decorations (paintings/flowers) would really improve the experience.

They are thieves. I paid for an extra day in cash, then two minutes later after I had returned to my room they said that I must leave immediately. They stole my money in a very straightforward way that I have never seen before. This is the worst place I have ever stayed!!!
