We had no access for news on tv but actually that just meant it was very quiet. I had thought it might have local people to mix with but that did not happen. Watching tango lessons was very unique

Perfect place to stay, close to buses and subte with nice coffee places, bars and restaurant around.
It's a bit pricey but then all Argentina went up a lot.

Lina is a very sweet woman who taught me a very important Tango lesson: 1+1=1. Francisco is terrific. He provided all kinds of information about the area. As a bonus, Francisco treated us to a virtuosic demonstration of northern Argentina guitar music. Wonderful people, wonderful place.

This was a beautiful place to base ourselves whilst we explored Buenos Aires. The rooms, common area courtyard and kitchen were all excellent.
We had very slow (over 24 hours) periods of no response from staff to messages (not on the premises due to chrismas). Our bathroom smelt of urine, and we requested a clean, but this did not occur, which was frustrating considering the money/nights spent there.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to nearby sites and restaurants and easily get an Uber to others. The location was safe and convenient!
We liked everything about it and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. What made it extra special was Francisco and Lina ... they were so friendly and made us feel at home. They had lots of local information to help us plan our daily itineraries!

Lina's Tango Guesthouse is a great place to stay. The location, the place with patio, clean room with everything you need. But the best thing about the place is Lina. Lina is really kind en friendly and she will make you feel at home and will give you the chance to learn more about typical Argentina things like making empanadas or going to a milonga. Lina gives your stay just that something extra. Would highly recommend to stay there.

I booked three nights at Lina's Tango Guesthouse and I ended up staying for two weeks! The charming guesthouse has all the amenities a traveler would need. It is located within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, Plaza Dorrego and the famous Sunday San Telmo Fair. Both Lina and Francisco are wonderful hosts and made my stay very enjoyable. Francisco was very helpful with the check in process (he speaks both Spanish and English) and his travel tips. He also arranged tickets for an evening tango show and got me a great table to photograph the dancers. One night we had a group dinner with all the guests where Francisco played guitar and Lina showcased her tango dancing. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Lina is the sweetest kindest host! I felt very safe and comfortable, like a home away from home. The inner courtyard is a quiet and peaceful retreat from the interesting and often busy neighborhood. The bed was so comfortable. so nice to have kitchen space and the courtyard to take time for thinking and preparing plans for explorations.

The courtyard is charming, kitchen area was good with access to fridge. Francisco and Lina were super helpful. Location was great for San Telmo Market, trains and buses. Supermarkets nearby. One morning Breakfast in the courtyard talking to the other guests with Lina, Fransisco playing his guitar and a bird coming in feeding her chicks was a magical way to start a day off! would definitely recommend!
Not an area to walk alone at night but plenty of taxis and Uber.
