Hotel Margjeka provided a lovely stay in Valbone! This hotel is beautiful with the most breathtaking views of the mountains. The outdoor patio was accommodating for even large groups of people for dinner and a quiet place to enjoy coffee in the morning. Our room was very big (we were two people) which was nice. Our room also had a patio with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious! The staff was incredible, so welcoming during check in, and especially in the morning. They preemptively asked if we had anything scheduled, which we did, and they called the company to confirm our transportation was coming. Without them, we might have missed our transport as they actually came half hour early! The attention from the staff was beyond words. I would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Margjeka to enjoy the peaceful nature.
Unfortunately we could hear too much noise from inside our room, like all the noise happening in the hallway and even seemingly from other people's rooms, i.e. people in the hallways, shower running. This was frustrating for a light sleeper and especially after a long day of hiking.
Side note, for which I did not dock points but saying for reference, the hotel was a bit of a walk from the end of the Theth-Valbona hike. It took about an hour down the riverbed, and then another half hour after reaching what we believe to be the true end of the hike. There might have been an easier way as I read in some reviews it said to cross the riverbed, but we did not see any signs leading to the hotel so were just walking along the main road.

It was exceptionally clean. The setting is very suitable for those who wish to hike around. The food I tried was varied and tasty. The staff was warm and accommodating.

A wonderful hotel in an amazingly beautiful setting. Lovely outdoor dining area with majestic mountains all around. Janet and her staff went above and beyond and being helpful, kind and courteous. The breakfast was huge.
At dinner I highly recommend the lamb chops, which are delicious.
This location is much more beautiful than the locations on the main road in Balboa.
I highly recommend this place. There are amazing hikes nearby.

I chose this place because it was fairly close to the start of the valbona pass trailhead. It is wonderfully located and yet still tucked away surrounded by all the mountains. The food from the restaurant down stairs is good and fulfilling. The staff was lap very kind and accommodating.
The higher up your room is the less AC you will feel. It does get cold in the evenings so that helps at night.

GORGEOUS views, beautiful property & patio, and fantastic service! We asked the staff to help us find a driver to take us to the trailhead to the Theth hike (beyond the riverbed to the kafe) and they asked every guest if they were interested too so the cost would be lower for us - so kind!! The driver was a total blast too! Most importantly though, they serve the best fresh goat cheese I’ve ever had. Eat as much as you can!!

The location was extremely beautiful and the hosts were so welcoming and helpful. The local food was excellent and I will definitely be staying there again. Very easy to access from the Theth-Valbona trail.

Beautiful location with fall colors, quiet and restful. Outdoor seating areas. Ample breakfast - enough to make sandwiches for lunch, too. We ate two dinners there, generous portions and fast service even when full of guests. Comfortable beds. Property is 10 years old but very well maintained. We walked from Theth, entered property from the dry river bed through a gate in a barbed wire fence.
Wi-Fi signal was weak in our first room, but owner switched us to a room with better signal for the second night.

The rooms are clean and basic. The heater did not work so they borrowed me a small portable heater and I was okay at night…. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff is kind.
For the price nothing to complain.

Nice location, with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. The staff is nice and the restaurant offers very good and tasty food, as well as local products / local cuisine
A bit far from the main road, but you feel that only when coming back from hiking and you are already tired. If you come by car, this is not a problem at all
