Fun decorations about the place, nice, easygoing staff--volunteers and owner. Owner is chill & nice but only speaks Greek. The kitchen is totally comfortable, spacious, and decked-out from the seating to the cookware, what with electric kettles, a big stove, a pretty California vibe. My bedroom was made of stone, which kept the room cooler than outside (i'm sure that'd be nice in the summer) and pretty quiet. Dark room at night, good for sleep. Spacious and nice shower. Breakfast was served in the morning, even in off-season, and the jam and perhaps the museli was homemade. Himarë is a very small town, and during winter there's not much there, but surely during summer it's lively, and even in winter...like the hostel was just so fun & peaceful, away from the world, and very accomodating.
Few cafes & restaurants during winter. However, altogether one can get all one needs from the local stores, including kitchen applicances and cookware, which is pretty neat given how small the stores are.

There are friendly dogs and cats on the property
I had safety concerns about my roommate and the male hostel worker downplayed my concerns and said “you’ll be fine”. My roommate ended up being aggressive towards me, creating a very unsafe environment and the hostel worker still didn’t switch my room. He instead complained, “that means i would have to check our scheduling book”…he didn’t want to do his job. I had to ask one of the women who work at the hostel for a room switch & she did it without hesistation. The breakfast was unsanitary, they leave the food out & bugs were flying on it everyday. The wifi also hardly works in the rooms. There are better hostels to stay at in himarë

I loved the open spaces, fruit trees, hammocks, camping option, gourmet kitchen, and hearty Mediterranean breakfast! Lovely cats and dogs. Outdoor showers, and light!
Location is perfect too!
Kitchen knives aren’t sharp. Like every hostel!???? I’ve now parked a 1 euro sharpener that I travel with!!!!? I want to help hostels now, and myself!?

Was a last-minute booking as my original booking cancelled the day before. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this was much better situated - closer to the waterfront, and to Himare castle and the Coastal Trail. Stayed in one of the tents in the garden - was quite comfortable. Common toilets and showers were clean. Quiet at night. Good breakfast in the morning.

The breakfast was simple but good. The volunteers were nice and friendly! The bed was comfortable and i like that it has a bit of privacy, i was just hoping it has the curtain so it's completely private.
I think the price is a little expensive.
The location was okay. It's not near the beach area but just 10 min walk. Just not ideal for female solo travelers if going back alone at night time.
The toilets and baths are downstairs. It would have been nice if there is atleast one in the room.

Hostel’s garden and common space.
The staffs are so helpful and kind. They seem to enjoy working at the hostel.
I love their hospitality and vibe. That made me so relaxed.
I couldn’t use wife at the 10 beds dormitory.

Himare Hostel was absolutely gorgeous and charming! The mornings were filled with quiet conversation and the evenings were for music and good company. I stayed in the mixed dormitory which had air conditioning and warm water for the showers. It was very clean and had many sweet pets, one of which even walked with me to town!
I truly have no complaints! Everything was clean and accessible and the staff was so sweet and accommodating!

Great hostel in Himare and probably the best in Albania! The staff is the kindest ever, they make you feel at home since you step in! The hostel have an amazing toilets, kitchen and peaceful location. The rooms are spacious and clean, the common areas are amazing, the location is perfect and the atmosphere great

I stayed for 4 nights in the summer And it was the perfect place to unwind for a while. Come here if you want to relax but still be social - common area is a great place to meet fellow travelers if you're ever lonley, and the garden is perfect for some quiet alone time. Relaxed check in hours, very close to bus station and the main city beach.
The bed was a little uncomfortable and I didn't feel like the blanket provided did much to help. When I went there were only two showers/toilets, so if it's a crowded night you might have to wait in line.

Very kind staff&owner. The hostel, the dorm, the yard& the kitchen are tidy and always very clean.
The hostel located 5 min walk from Himara beach, 40 min walk to Filikuri beach, 35 min walk to Livahdi beach & Potami beach.
The hostel is very calm, relaxed atmosphere.
