Absolutely the best hostel in town
The beds were cool and the communal space is great and inviting
Also one of the best things in the dorms was that it has good ventilation and big windows, so it didn't feel like a greenhouse of people and AC like dorms feel sometimes

Very Good
It was a very good hostel. It had a good atmosphere and was laid back and actually was a good place to meet new people and share a meal. I enjoyed my stay.
Its a pretty good location but it is a few minutes walk to the beach and stores. However it is very near the place where the bus drops you off so its actually kind of nice so you can drop off your pack first. No real complaints.

The volunteers were incredibly kind, the hostel was a great location (~10 minute walk to the beach) and very close to coffee/grocery/bus stop in town. The owners parents are also very sweet, and there is a cleaning lady who tidys the rooms every day, making sure everything is clean:)
The bathroom attached to my rooms would get wet, steamy and muddy, mainly because most people’s shower shoes are also their beach flipflops- no real way to avoid this and the cleaning lady mopped every day, but they also have outdoor showers which I preferred anyways!! Breakfast was also not the greatest but also was there as an option!- bread, jam, muesli, milk , yogurt and hard boiled eggs. I would have loved some fresh fruit, but again you are so close the the store it’s easy to byo. A lot of people cook for themselves, which is a fun dynamic!!

Common areas are cosy, and the hammocks were a great spot to make a siesta.
The breakfast is really minimal, although it's all homemade.
The bathroom of the room I was has been used by other people outside of the room.
No curtains so no privacy, so I had to create my own.

We stayed in a deluxe room with a private bathroom which was very nice. Staff were super sweet young people; I had a bit of a health emergency and they were genuinely attentive and kind.
Breakfast was fairly weak. We would have liked some fruit, mainly, and some whole grain bread would have been nice.

Friendly, relaxed ambience , outdoor space and free breakfast.
The 10 bed dormitory had 4 beds up on a 10 foot vertical climbing wall. It was totally terrifying and unexpected . We ‘d anticipated the usual one up one down b. beds . We were completely accommodated after voicing our concerns. Really hard to find , better sign posting needed ..

Location is just a short walk from the tourist area so its quieter and more relaxing. It feels like a campground as there's lots of space to move around and find your own personal space for relaxing, reading if you want. Plenty of toilets and showers. Outside showers stalls was great so it doesn't feel like your holding up an entire bathroom. Lots of places to hang hand washed laundry. Great breakfast with home made jam by the local cleaning lady. The hosts and volunteers were so kind and engaging! I had a great 3 nights here.
The dorm room can get hot at night as there is only one vertical fan in my room. At night must keep the door closed (screened windows open) preventing mosquitoes getting in. My upper bunk lacked power outlets so had to share outlets from a powerbar...no big deal just fyi.

Absolutely amazing stay! Ended up booking an extra night to enjoy it a little longer before my flight and would have stay longer if I could have.
Everyone I met, volunteers and guests alike were such wonderful,interesting and beautiful people.
The hostel was so cosy, clean and relaxing, the rooms are tidied daily and the breakfast is delicious each morning.
The beach, shops, castle are all in walking distance and the town sits along a good bus route.
11/10 amazing place. Thank you for such a great stay

It was so quiet and tranquil, set apart from the noise. Felt very very safe and had beautiful art and trees. The other guests were friendly and quiet at night and the bunks were very quiet and private, even in the largest room!
Honestly, my whole experience was great! I would recommend putting some kind of padding on the ladder to the highest bunks because they hurt your feet.

Fun decorations about the place, nice, easygoing staff--volunteers and owner. Owner is chill & nice but only speaks Greek. The kitchen is totally comfortable, spacious, and decked-out from the seating to the cookware, what with electric kettles, a big stove, a pretty California vibe. My bedroom was made of stone, which kept the room cooler than outside (i'm sure that'd be nice in the summer) and pretty quiet. Dark room at night, good for sleep. Spacious and nice shower. Breakfast was served in the morning, even in off-season, and the jam and perhaps the museli was homemade. Himarë is a very small town, and during winter there's not much there, but surely during summer it's lively, and even in winter...like the hostel was just so fun & peaceful, away from the world, and very accomodating.
Few cafes & restaurants during winter. However, altogether one can get all one needs from the local stores, including kitchen applicances and cookware, which is pretty neat given how small the stores are.

Disappointing
There are friendly dogs and cats on the property
I had safety concerns about my roommate and the male hostel worker downplayed my concerns and said “you’ll be fine”. My roommate ended up being aggressive towards me, creating a very unsafe environment and the hostel worker still didn’t switch my room. He instead complained, “that means i would have to check our scheduling book”…he didn’t want to do his job. I had to ask one of the women who work at the hostel for a room switch & she did it without hesistation. The breakfast was unsanitary, they leave the food out & bugs were flying on it everyday. The wifi also hardly works in the rooms. There are better hostels to stay at in himarë
