Nice large pool area, clean hotel & room very comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful.
Some restaurants were closed due to recent Iran conflict, not the hotels fault but left limited options. There was also construction next to beach, which wasn’t advertised prior to stay.

Excellent Saturday Brunch and the food was very diversified and with very good quality, Nice pool and very good location just in front of Abu Dhabi mosque.
Price a bit high compared to similar hotel and no much activities proposed inside the hotel.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal was, overall, a mixed experience — one that showcased remarkable grandeur and elegance, yet unfortunately fell short in several areas where a property of this caliber should excel.
To begin with the positives, the architecture is undeniably stunning. The property truly delivers an impressive palace-like atmosphere, with magnificent design, grand proportions, and a lobby that immediately creates a sense of luxury and sophistication. The scale of the hotel is exceptional, and the furniture and interior detailing reflect the refined aesthetic expected from a prestigious five-star destination. The check-in process was also smooth, efficient, and professionally handled, which set an excellent first impression.
However, for a hotel positioned at this level, the operational and culinary standards were inconsistent. The buffet offered variety, but quality was noticeably lacking — particularly in the meat selection, which did not feel fresh nor reflective of the premium standard one would expect. While the Italian section was fortunately the saving grace of the evening, overall dining quality should prioritize excellence over quantity.
Service attentiveness also requires improvement. Basic dining essentials and utensils were not consistently monitored, which affected the dining experience. Housekeeping, while acceptable at first glance, lacked the meticulous precision associated with true luxury hospitality, as certain areas of the room were clearly overlooked. Additionally, the corridor carpets had an unpleasant odor, which detracted from the otherwise elegant environment.
More concerning were the service inefficiencies: calls to reception for luggage assistance went unanswered for an extended period, and the mishandling of luggage during departure was disappointing and inconvenient. While the hotel did eventually resolve the matter, such oversights should not occur at this standard.

Stayed for 1 night as a family. The check-in was smooth.Rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding and good soundproofing. Breakfast had a strong spread, especially for international options. Pool and kids’ play area were well-designed, making it family-friendly. Location is excellent, close to major malls. Overall, good value for money—ideal for families and short leisure stays.

The hotel is very luxurious and the breakfast buffet was great. Room service was exceptional.
I just did not like the horse paintings that they had. I understand that it is for decor, but in a lot of cultures it is prohibited to be in a room with paintings that have real life drawn creatures.
Another thing being the shower, the shower hose is extremely close to the faucet which makes the hose get stuck most of the times. I actually got injured a bit because of that, I would recommend that such rooms must be looked at by product and UX designers.
